    Yeah I whippa snip first Ray. Let's me have a good look around before mowing & then I mow over to clean it all up. Works well for me. Cheers Mate. 👍 😎💪🦘

    Guys who burn string trim tend to like trimming first but the right way to string trim is at the same height as the mower blades and should look like a crew cut at the edges so you would obviously mow first so the back half of the trimmer line is not cutting anything when the trimmer head is flat. This is for lawn health and most efficient

    Hey Ray Ray great video 😊 I agree Mike Andies is a really smart guy to be as young and successful like he is. You have to respect him for that. With me I do it both ways 😊 my thoughts is it depends mostly on the yards. I could do a video of my thought on the subject take care Ray Ray and God Bless

    Oh, that's why you were commenting on that old video 😂
    Number one reason I trim after I mow is, because edges are important to my customers and I; I mow 3.5 and up, and if I edge first, the mower is blowing that edge around a little. When I mow first and trim and edge afterward, the edge is sharp. That's solo. If I have my helper, and he happens to edge before I get there, oh well 😅 Also because I mow high, the mower doesn't do a great job of blowing off. She can get most of the material, but the edges still have to be finished off with a blower.

    If you have done a property a few times it is more efficient to weed eat first
    If I am doing something the first or second time I will weed eat after

    Do you have the barber trim your neck before you cut your hair.

  • @untouchablecityprepper1165

    Wack first , mulch after mow but every property different

    I’ve done it either way depending on the situation. However I tend to weed eat, edge, mow and blow. Just saying y’all.

  • @TheLawnFellas
    @TheLawnFellas Před 28 dny +2

    It’s absolutely not the most efficient way to string trim first on a brand new property that you just acquired. If you do that first and get onto the mower and realize the mower can’t get to a spot you thought it could and guess what you got to go back and get that trimmer. So new property mow then trim first two times to learn the property. Other than that definitely trim first then mow.

      that makes sense - we have and keep weed eaters on every mower with us. Wouldnt u want to walk a new property first before mowing?

    • @TheLawnFellas
      @TheLawnFellas Před 28 dny +1

      @@rayrayslawnlandscape2008 absolutely I walk every property before mowing but sometimes you misjudge what your mower can and can’t do. Just think about when you have a worker and they string trim don’t you make a pass around the property before they start trimming so they can see what you can and can’t get.

      @@TheLawnFellas true- But if im solo - then i walk the property with the weed eater running in my hand- I dont do any unnecessary walking

    I weedeat after I mow. It saves so much time. Because I can mow so close to things there barely any weekending left to do like an inch or two strip. It I had to weedeat first I would have to weedeat a 17 inch path. That doesn't even make sense to me. Let the mower do the work.

    • @rayrayslawnlandscape2008
      @rayrayslawnlandscape2008  Před 27 dny

      Right But I know where I can get with the mowers and I use the same mowers. What do you do when you get to a gate?Get off the mower and open the gate? What do you do when the water hose on ground Or the kids toys are out there?
      Everybody does it their own way.
      I couldn't imagine doing it the other way. We making money either way.

    • @mudhustle
      @mudhustle Před 27 dny

      @rayrayslawnlandscape2008 never thought of that I only have 1 gate I have to open and I can actually open it up while on the mower but it's easier to get off. And if there's a hose I just float the deck and then hit it with the trimmer after. I do admit that there is a tiny bit more clippings doing it my way but on the other hand you can get high spots that the mower wasn't able to hit real well due to a dip or the terrain so overall it'll look a little better weedeating afterwards for my type lawns.

    I cut,edge, weed eat, blow. You're still walking the same i think. But everyone has their own way of doing it, and the end results are the same. Good video
