Hey everyone!!!! I am now an independent nurse.
This means I’m no longer working with a preceptor... I’m working alone now.
I was so nervous, scared, and terrified 😭😭
I kept questioning and doubting myself.
In the end, with a lot of help from the surrounding nurses, I successfully completed my first independent shift.
If it weren’t for their help, I would have felt so scared and depressed.
I am really grateful to be able to work among such wonderful nurses.
There will be good days and bad days ahead, right?
But if there’s even one person around to help me, I feel like I can get through another day.
I also want to be that kind of colleague to other new nurses and other nurses.
