Welcome back. Today I'm joined by Alex West and George Price, 2 top enduro riders, both owners of the same bike as me, the T7 World Raid. Out in Snowdonia for the day exploring the fantastic trails and green lanes in the area. Starting off in Pentrefoelas, and finishing in Denbigh. A fantastic day of thrills and spills with a few crashes to boot.... my me mainly.... as always! 🤣

I agree it is overkill slightly, but these big bikes are so much more fun to ride and so rewarding too.. plus the added bonus I don't need a van to ferry it in. Hello there, this is just to let you know that I really appreciate the videos with a GPX file attached.
I'm from the Chester area and whilst my background in MTB helps I'm fairly new to motorbikes. So the videos with a GPX file are a godsend to avoid riding my T7 into places where I might get it stuck without anyone to help me manhandle the heavy bugger.

Absolute protection must, in my opinion, crash bars! I have crosspro bars on mine, I wish I had them fitted sooner. Second would be a Poly sump guard, I have the AXP one on mine now if you've watched he'd my most recent videos, the aluminium and steel guards are too heavy, create vibration and bend/dent too easily. Next would be the barkbusters' handguards which are a ADV bike staple. After those, just make sure you have some good long cam lock straps incase you need to tie the bike off to a tree or something to get the wheel up to make puncture repairs, and a trail jack stand, rolling mavericks one is good.
Some HD tubes, loads of patches, glue and emery cloth for repairs and a co2 tyre inflator with spare cans.
Beat of luck on your travels in morroco, mate. I'd love to get down there sometime over the next few years!

@v4forlife aaaaaah, yeah, I've already done it dude. It's about 20 minutes in on the video with the 'moooove' thumbnail. Sadly, it was filmed on the gopro before I got my new DJI, so the quality isn't like this video... was a good hill that, I remember it caused chaos in ollies video 🤣 everyone walked down it and scouted it first, then Greg cracked the camera out 💃😆

That northern bit of Sarn Helen where it joins the A5 (before you head into Betws y Coed) was blocked when I was there last, someone had dropped a couple of trees across the track. I suppose it's clear now?
Hi mate. Thanks for watching. Yes, it's all clear now.. I think who ever owns the house at rhe bottom has a few issue with the trail use, I've gone down there a few times and they park the car and/or van, as tight up to the trail entrance as possible so you can't get in or out. Was likely the same folk dropping the trees on the lane also...
@lewsdirtbikedays trail or not, it's a vehicular right of way, and it's a criminal offence to block it. Just because someone lives next to a road doesn't mean they own it.

We're not all that special mate, confidence and abikity comes with just time on the bike. We all started somewhere hey, Alex and George are probably 20+ years into riding offroad bikes and racing, and I'm probably 16-17 years riding offroad myself, and still not great hahaha. Stick with it mate, you can crash as much as me with enough time under your belt 😉 🤙

Hey, dude. Sorry for the late reply, I'd missed your comment 🙏 yeah the chap nailed it, Rhinowalk. It's basically a kriega rip off but 1/5th of the price 😆 just watch the Ali buckles, the loop slips out of them easily, get some pliers on them and close the gap up. Thanks for watching dude.

completely off their Barnet mate 😂 well, to look at them you'd think so but they're well capable lads.
Oh mate, I'm probably 3 or 4 punctures in at this point, comes with the territory, hey. All fronts though, not punctured a rear (yet 🙏) I'm running heavy duty Michelin's front and rear. Keep them well powdered up (baby powder in the tyre) or silicone spray the tube so it can move around in the tyre, hopefully limit the pinch flats 👌
Had a blowout puncture in the Peak District a month or so back, about 50mph on a bombed out trail, tyre nearly came off and ended up in a hedge because I could steer 😂 had to change my undies...
@lewsdirtbikedays Haha yeah a front blowout at speed is not good😖do you know anyone who's tried those 7mm thick Lucioli tubes? They ain't cheap but they look interesting🤔
@@ifindoubtbailout70 yeah I do know of them for sure! I don't know anybody who's used one, but they do look pretty bomb proof I must say. I was looking at maybe getting one for mine, and then looked at the price.... then never looked at them again 🤣

Newbie question- why do you engage/disengage the kick stand when you're off the bike, not when you're sitting on it? Boots too rigid?
😂 Eagle eyes over here haha. Its a combination of me being a short arse and wearing knee braces mate, I can only just reach it as it is, add braces to that mix and it makes it impossible as I can't rotate my ankle 😅 plus I've got the side dismount down to a fine art now hahaha. @dannyschindler Thanks, mate. I'm glad you're enjoying them! My boots are Gaerne SG12's and are about 10 years old, they have about the most movement you can get in a mx boot, but only lateral movement, and even that is limited. They're the only boots I'll wear now, saved me on plenty of occasions! Plus the fact they have memory foam in them too! Expensive, but hey, I've had them 10 years and still going strong! Incredible boots.
Big girls those, I have standard one dropped 20mm and just about getting the balls of my feet down. Then again I’m only 5’7 😅
I'm only 5ft 6 myself mate, had lowering links myself on the beginning but was losing too much suspension travel so went back to standard. Yeah I can't touch the floor either mate, which is the main reason I fall off so much 😂 I have to side saddle when I stop, if I lose balance its a one way street....

Hey mate. Believe it or not, my T7 is literally the only ADV bike I've ever ridden, it's actually the only bike over a 450 I've ever ridden! That sounded pretty mental as I typed that out hahaha. I only got my full bike licence last summer 😬

Hey mate. There's a link in the video description where you can access this route, you're welcome. The app I use for navigating and creating the routes is the same app you'll be getting the route from, it's called outdooractive, £20 for the year for OS maps and the GPS accuracy is bang on too 👌
