a $70 pack opening would be considered insane 10 years ago when the most a pack cost was $8-$10...now packs are what 25-30 a pack? not insane at all.

I think he’s smart enough to not follow the early prices too hard. He’s seen ups and downs and bubbles and busts. Why commit a bunch of BS prices to memory when they’re going to be all over the place for the next X months?
Anyone else noticing that collectors boxes all seem to have one incredible pack and then like 3-4 awful packs and the rest are just okay-decent?
Wizards policy of chase mythics or bust and then restricting the fetch lands led to that outcome.
Jackpot packs are in every box. There’s an always one pack with 3 mythics. Look at some OTJ openings or any opening videos. There’s always one crazy pack in the box.
I've purchased several booster boxes (36 packs) and from what I can tell, there's just no serials, but I'm getting all the other cards that I'm seeing in the collector boosters (12 packs).

The demand on this product will pull all prices down in zhe first week a single emrakul alternate art was 70€ in EU now its 25-30€ and it will drop more.
Overpriced product, just bought 2 and tryin to get back a chunk of money paid for it by selling singles.
But still product quality is really good and the smell of these cards is a fallback memory to my childhood back in 1999 opening saga packs. ❤❤❤❤

Yea there are actually quite a few, especially in foil. Some of those MDFC lands are like 8-9 bucks in foil at uncommon.
I have seen some abysmal openings that still 'profit', box 2 and 3 are pretty nuts.

opened a play box and got one fetch land, 6 mythics and a total of 2 (non rare) retro frame cards. just feels like they're trying harder than ever to push people towards collectors packs

@NateBullock-ow6on the Japanese boxes I opened were absolutely garbage. Edges look like they cut them with a sawzall. Washed out printing and dented cards rightout the pack. The flip planeswalkers were scratched up on the back. So brutal for such an expensive product. I feel used and abused.

Like you clearly don't know the prices of anything in the set other than fetches dude. Why bother? Another dude in the comments added them up, missing some of the uncommons that are a few bucks, with box 1 being a little over 400, and box 2 a little over 500.

Incredible opening. Remember when WOTC admitted to shareholders they have to balance the color pie? Every single time there's a white rare or mythic I brace myself for incredible power. Flare of Fortitude to go with your Teferi's Protection. Edit: Moonshaker Cavalry? Delney, Streetwise Lookout? Trouble in Pairs? All White.
P.S. Blue Retro foils are still top shelf. You should track the Medallions as well.

The Eldrazi cards are all big hits some going like 30 then the big ones $50-$90, including the mythic Ugin land. Some rares like fetchs & flares are going for 10-20. But i think prices are gonna stay up

On cmc, you would get over 400€ (427$) for the first box as of 26th of June. Retro foils are very expensive.
