The whole build trap aspect of this game is dumb. I am a huge fan of aoe from it's inception as I'm old but that part has always been an unfortunate exploit that has now become the standard which is too bad.
It is better than any of the other micro unrealistic things in the game.
How can archers not be disarmed at close range?
How does melee infantry not know how to use a bow 🏹 when garrisoned?
Why can cavalry not garrison in stables?
How can units turn instantly ignoring conservation of angular momentum?
I hate that you can do that. That’s why AOE4 is better.
Aoe4 has Villagers be so strong in stats, they could just punch the monk to death without the micro.

Actually that was a win for green . Green 100 gold buy monk ... Heta lose a vil which is 50 food plus all the resources not collected by that vil for rest of game .. then lot of idle vil time chase monk. Lots if player time and some reasources make quick walls .. lots of pikes time chasing monk .. How can this not be 100% win for the green player ????

@@drleopoldopires No top player is going to care about losing a Monk. This is only useful in a video, that's it . Hera even made a video about wasting time quick walling ... This is absolutely a win for green player in wasted time and resources from Hera . You don't get it if both players are of equal skill with equal civs this could be enough of an advantage to green to win the game . Early on resources are everything. Hera being one of the best players he can probably afford to disadvantage himself and still win.
