- We spent an entire week filming the Florida mullet run with our drone and we captured some epic moments! The mullet run occurs every fall along the beaches of Florida. Billions of baitfish migrate south for the winter along with thousands of hungry predators.

THE MULLET RUN GETS ME HYPED!!!
I think anything fishing related gets you hyped by the way would you like to make a donation to the national save a goose foundation?
Same
same
it gets me horny
It's not fair
The whole clip got me ready to go catch some fish. Great video! Tight lines never stop!
I witnessed a mullet run in the intracoastal in Boca Raton years ago. It was UNREAL!! You almost could've walked across the water on them. I've never seen anything like it before or since. The water was solid mullet, there were thousands and thousands of them. This lasted at least 20 minutes! Unreal!
The Tarpon feeding on its side and then jumping/splashing was pretty cool. The sharks cruise'n through the mullet cloud was cool too.
That is amazing footage. I've never seen anything quite like it. Thanks for sharing your catch! I'm going to play it again in slow motion, sharing it, too.
The sheer speed @0:58. And @1:02, how close we are to danger and never even realize it. That splashing dash @1:15. Amazing! There is so much to take in. I love going in the water and have almost always lived near beaches. It is astonishing to watch this video, yet makes me fear the waters even though I have been able to swim since infancy. You just never know what is right beside you.
Enjoy your beaches and world, folks. Love these videos, but they feed into my early-childhood "JAWS" fears. Heh.
All of it was incredible, But the tarpon shots are my fave!!
The tarpon shots are brilliant. What a magnificent creature. Well done; some of the best film film I've ever seen.
Badass Josh!!!
I LOVED the 100+ lb. tarpon laying on her side. What a awesome video. Keep up the good work guy's.
I have seen a LOT of nature films in my life and this is one of the best things i have ever seen. Thank you so much for making and posting this.
Outstanding! Drones do provide an incredibly new angle on things of this world that were right in front of us which we were not able to see! A real eye-opener.
TOO HYPED.! those tarpon beast. best part was where that tarpon hit that U turn

all of that footage was incredible! such a great perspective
Hey! 618 love your vids bro
this video should be viral, great work. Thanks Josh & crew
Absolutely amazing. So cool how that many fish congregate in one place a one time. Keep up the vids josh your the best.
Incredible
that was BADASS! I loved the whole video
This is fantastic footage! Love it. Wish I had drone footage of when I was running along a sea wall to keep up with a porpoise just a few feet from me in the water. It had a mullet in its mouth and was chasing a school of mullet. Another porpoise was coming from the exact opposite direction head on. When the porpoises got to within about 20' of each other, the mullet were forced to turn and go out into open water where there were 3 more porpoises coming toward them from different directions. So, you had five porpoises surrounding the school of mullet culminating in the mullet having no where to go but up and out of the water! They all jumped into the air and thrashed about as the porpoises gobbled them up. It was spectacular.
This is the most beautiful video I have ever seen... Thank you 🐟🐟🐟🐟🐟🐟🐟🐟🐟🐟🐟🐟🐟🐟🐟🐟🐟🐟🐟🐟🐟🐟🐟🐬🐬🐟🐟🐟🐟🐟🐬🐬🐬🐬🐬🐟🐟🐟🐟🐟
the tarpon were insane to watch! this was an outstanding video!
Dude that entire vid was sick! Awesome work
Absolutely astonishing footage. Thank you very much.
I have lived in Florida my whole life and seen Mullet school together in the springs but I have never seen this before it is amazing
wow, this is absolutely incredible
This was so amazing really enjoyed it
Incredibly beautifully masked this video from the drone it snatched me to the remembrance of rainy ☔ season thunderstorm in a black cloud ☁️ 💭
I remember my brothers throwing their nets and having a smoke mullet feast.! thanx...good memories.
Did anyone else notice how the tarpon were turning on their side before striking. Interesting predation behavior.
And the would also do a U turn. They would swim forward then swiftly turn to the side/back
Probably doing so in order to go shallower, pushing the mullet up against the beach...
It's probably cause they're right on the shore
I think it because mullet swim right on the surface. Sticking on their sides allows them to have more of their open mouth right at the surface of the water which increases their chances of a successful predation. Or maybe it's to see better. I must find out!!
lots of predator fish do the same. I have pics of bonita doing so.....
Best drone footage Iv'e seen! Subbed and liked' Thank's for the amazing visuals. Food for the fisherman's soul.
+Fish Finder Glad to hear you liked it! Thanks for watching.
When a video ends and it doesn't feel like I just watched a 2 minute video THAT is when you now it was a great video. That would be amazing to see. We have that here in Texas but the water is so murky you can only see them jumping. Very cool to see it from the air. Two Thumbs Up Dude.
That's some of the best film footage I've ever seen... of anything.
Oh man, I only wish there was more footage. It's just too short.
Imagine going there with a net
Dammmmmn
You’d be in jail
Ya...
@@tommygun19788you can pull a seine net in Florida and it’s entirely legal- you can’t keep certain fish caught by seine net- but you can keep as many mullet as you want- not sure why anyone would want to
But there is no way you would be able to pull the net in- it would be loaded with thousands of lbs of mullet and other fish- tarpon, snook, sharks to name a few
It’s legal but impossible
I’ve thrown a 6 ft cast net in when the mullet are thick and 2 of us couldn’t pull it in- we had to dump the net
I liked the clips of the Tarpon because you guys had parts of them being more aggressive. Also I like seeing them swim on their sides and then attacking the mullet.
That was amazing! Loved the Tarpon scene the best.
Massive props to you guys for this.
Nice pun
That was some awesome footage
Fabulous footage; thanks for sharing!
Been staying on the east coast all my life. And you guys do great work.
Josh can you do some more land based shark fishing soon?? I love your channel and videos ... Tight lines🎣🎣!!
I agree
Wow! That’s beautiful. I couldn’t imagine being on the beach seeing that. I live in Florida and I never catch anything epic. Catfish seem to love me 🤷🏻♀️
Hit the beaches in the fall. Drive until you find the mullet on the beach. They'll be moving south.
Simply put, Wow!
Great footage!
Amazing footage. Thanks for sharing.
finally drone footage that is actually worth watching. ps this needs some slow motion..
+jdogg661420 We need a Red to do that
@BlackipH why don't you buy one
Aitor Jara coz its 50 thousand dollars!
You just went for the most expensive red, anyway just buy it, I don't see the problem.
that's insane
Truly incredible footage... Awesome bloody awesome...
It's Amazing footage ever I've seen in these days. So Amazing!!
What a fisherman’s wet dream looks like. Tail everywhere!

that was mental..! 59 secs where old mate was screaming thru like a fish possessed... stoked bro luv ya work
My favorite clip was the one with all those fish in it.😛
Exactly... 😂
Those people had no idea that shark was behind them
Man they got much there meals ..that's they no need human meat and might fotage from faraway also people are alert brave female?
Like a life fish jumping onto the dinner table with the sashimi being served
thats what im watching
Daekj32 true but if 7 billion people had access to a beach like they do lightning that stat could be valid
@Daekj32 for some reason i got another notification from this thread so i re read it. i get it you know the water so do i, im 20 and ive been going on the water at least 3 days a week since ive been 7 and i've caught giant hammers bulls tigers and sandies, but i hate when people from areas like where i live put off the narrative that sharks wont do anything to humans because the only reason you can play with sharks (which i do) is if you know what you are doing and barely anyone does
Some really spectacular shots there. Brilliant job!
Absolutely stunning and beautiful !.. I am watching in 4k.
Wow...
I was expecting to see dudes running 4 kilometers in cut-off jeans as their mullets bounced artistically against their shoulders/backs.
awesome bro love both of them keep them coming great footage Big Al
Nature best. It's Amazing how Ocean can do to our life and to entire planet.
I liked the one that had fish in it
Adam Holston I like the one with bikini in it
Haha
Don't listen to these guys, those are real mermaids, dude!
Were those big shiny fish tarpon?
Yes
Oh I thought it was a butterfly
I live in California calm down
I live in a box lmao
Yes
absolutely AWESOME! love it
Amazing. Happy to see our oceans are not completely dead.
That's what Costa Rica looks like when the tuna and rooster fish start feeding. Not trying to say your video was bad it was amazing but Costa Rica is even better.
at 1:15 gets my hart pumping lol in fact im gonna gear up and hit the Indian river
de?
This Video made my day Happy!!!
wow, that's amazing. good to see the ocean life is doing good.
I need to get there with my fly rod. any rod.
Do not know if I am glad I can not swim or thankful I am not a Mullet .
Thank you for showing this wonder!! amazing.

Awesome!!! Thanks for sharing.
Great Job Josh!! I love seeing your work!
you could have flew the drone I few miles lower. I had to wear my glasses to see anything and I don't even wear glasses
are the black oil spots fish?
+Hammad Ali really wtf yoo I taught it was fresh water
Really
Yes that whole oil slick was little bait fish. Those fresh clear water spots you see opening up, are bigger predatory fish trying to eat the big oil slick fish!
The video is dope.. From the music to the Mullet. Giant Tarpon, and Big Sharks.. Great stuff man.
AWESOME. Loved the tarpon so close to the dry sand. Cheers.
Subhan'ALLAH
It all makes sense, the flash when the tarpon hit is the fish turning on it's side. Thanks man.
Incredible footage!
Best drone footage I've ever seen.
Wow 😳 Florida is beautiful! My home state!
absolutely amazing video...loved all of it... by a huge fan..
Probably the coolest thing I've ever seen!
I’ve seen a lot of documentaries about the herring and sardine runs off various places in the world
They’re impressive events
But having watched the mullet run in Florida for decades- nothing tops it
I’ve seen the mullet fill the trough- 40-50 yards wide at low tide- where there are more mullet than water- they literally displace water such that the water level rises
And the schools go for miles
It’s hard to express how many mullet constitute the mullet run
The mullet run lasts from early/mid September and finishes in November
Each mullet heading south is a different fish
A constant stream of mullet for 60 odd days
It’s probably the most under rated natural phenomenon that I know of
I loved the whole video amazing I love nature and fishing. I'm not the best fisherman but I love it it's peaceful
This is why you're my favorite CZcamsr. Great vid:)
That is amazing footage guys. Keep it up.
damn it absolutely killer footage partner!
🔥🔥
🤘🏾🤘🏾
What a view to see like that...incredible
Love the tarpon shots!!
Beautiful and amazing!
The tarpon were my favorite. Especially the shot with 5 or so Tarpon feeding.
Amazing footage!
I saw this when I was at my brother's condo on Hutchison Island. He is on the 8th floor, so we get a really nice view of the ocean. I thought it was an oil slick coming along the shore line. Later went down and realized it was thousands of fish. Stepped in and they just part around your legs. Really amazing to see in person.
It
That's awesome, love to see that in person.
those guys in water are crazy adventure lovers !
