Hi I’m Rick Shiels, welcome to my channel RickShielsPGAGolf. This CZcams channel is designed to help you play better golf, also to help you enjoy your golf more!
I specialise in golf club reviews, golf club unboxing, golf club news, golf club head to heads, and all about golf clubs.
I also want to make you play better golf by providing coaching video on all topics about golf, how to fix your slice, fix your hook, help you drive the golf ball longer, hit your irons more pure, hit your irons closer to the hole and help you draw and fade your golf shots.
I will also help you lower your score by chipping better by stopping you duff and thin chips, pitch the ball closer and also create backspin. Also I will provide you help to putt better and hole more putts!
On this channel I also make fun and entertaining golf content based on crazy and sometimes “gimmicky” golf clubs. I like to cut through the marketing hype about products and I like to give you the honest truth about golf equipment.

Q.) Who’s your favourite driver brand?
Titleist still love my 990DCI
Cobra for me
Ping please!
Taylormade. I finally got some last year. I’m not disappointed.
XXIO X
Sacrificing 5 yards for consistency is worth it especially if you already roll out to or past 300. Consistently is very important. I have hit longer drivers and owned longer drivers but currently play the one that is consistently pretty long and I feel I can hit it where I want. Very important and glad you mention distance isn’t the most important thing.
100%, if your not consistent with your clubs, that miniscule amount of difference is wasted money. I have my iron set from like 2005 (cobra ssi oversized) that I know exactly what to expect on good medium and poor strikes. The tools are only as good as you are!
Yeah as a mid handicapper, seeing this review, why would I go for anything else than the Paradym X? I need all the forgiveness I need and I'll take hitting all fairways in reg over getting 20 yards extra on 2-3 drives but missing 3 fairways. That's the logic I used when I bought my Mavrik Max and I don't regret one bit
@@Pr3st0ne I use the max LS but if the standard is forgiving enough for me I'd go for that knowing I'd squeeze 15 more yards and I could work the ball more. Triple diamond is cool but i think that is reserved for low to scratch players.
Spot on, I am very wild off the tee with driver so usually hit 3W. Winter conditions and the huge amount of leaves mean keeping it in the fairway is critical and have been hitting 4 iron or the tee, it’s almost a different game always on the fairway
The TM SLDR is still the longest driver I've ever played. Couldn't find the ball half the time though. Didn't last long in my bag.
Gonna love seeing all of these reviews throughout the whole year. Gonna be a great year for golf
Why?
@@sausagembape677oh… You must not have watched the video
i thought you weren't gonna do reviews???
Completely agree Kyle! From our testing the new releases really are fantastic performers! More in forgiveness than distance, that was maxed out quite a while ago 😅 but they are definitely getting more stable
I love Rick’s reviews. Always jam-packed with detail and brutally honest with the good, bad, and ugly on every club. Just what we need to help us decide which clubs we may want to consider and test for ourselves.
I really enjoyed this review. There’s no way I’m ever getting one as the price is outrageous, but you came across even more honest and genuine than ever. I like that there is a loud and clear message of “drop your ego and hit the fairway” - I think you would be a good counsellor, Rick!
Let’s go Rick can’t wait for the rest of the drivers reviews to come!
More equipment tests please Rick 🙏. Love em
Another great guy you inspired me to get into golf I was shooting over 100 all the time getting frustrated with my self putting my self down all the time. I’m currently shooting under 100 after watching your videos and also listening to your reviews on different golf clubs. Such and inspiring talented man. Would love a 9 hole challenge with a pro like you
I’d like to see Rick play 9 holes with 3 balls each hole, 1 with each club and see a true comparison of the clubs when it comes to the scorecard. I’d like to see how much of a difference accuracy vs distance really makes on his score.
Scorecard ? What is this four letter word you speak of ? Hahaha
That wouldn't work unless Rick could hit the exact same shot everytime
They definitely should do a test with that driver robot.
I understand the latest and greatest reviews every year on the “best drivers”, but you’ve proved it to me many times on your channel that it’s not the clubs, it’s the golfer! Not saying I wouldn’t be tempted to buy one, I won’t because I bought a new set last year😁, after 28 years of using my old ones. Great video!
Rick, you club reviews are much more personable and honest then a lot of other reviewers. I think the clubs look great, just a little pricey. Nice presentation. Can't wait for your review channel.
I love your equipment reviews. Soooo addictive 😅
I got fit for the Paradym Driver last week after cracking the crown on my 2020 Cobra XB driver. The Paradym feels great. I gained some ball speed, but the most remarkable trait of the Paradym is it's forgiveness for off center hits. . Off center, toe strikes, strikes low on the face, near the heel went farther than any driver I've ever hit. I hit a few push blocks during my fitting which went 260 yards. If it was my old driver, it would've gone 235-240 max. I hit a few thin shots/low on the face shots and they travelled about 250 yards, the average distance of my Cobra driver for a good strike. Bad mishits on the Paradym become usable drives with this club. The triple diamond was another driver I hit. Great ball speed numbers but not very forgiving. The triple diamond felt like the Titleist ts3. I also hit the Ping G435 and not nearly as good in the feel and distance department, but I did find the ping to be very forgiving.
Rick, I bought the Rogue triple diamond about two months ago; the first several hours were a disaster; I sprayed my drives in every direction but straight. I've now gotten used to it; I'm checking down a bit to control the direction and sacrificing a little distance, but very pleased. I am looking forward to checking out out the Paradym.
Love your independent reviews of golf clubs. Saw the one once where you hit loads of different drives and there was about 3 yards difference between them all. In other words people like myself 76 years old, don’t waste your money. If I could get 20 yards extra out of a £500 driver I would buy one. Brilliant reviews Rick. 👏
I agree with you. My drives usually finish on the fairway about 160 yards away. I am 79 years old.
100% Dennis, if you have a well fitted driver that is recently modern you wont see any distance gains. Although I do think strides are being made now in the stability region as that gave up on speed ages ago in reality, they knew it was pretty much maxed
I think you are correct. I still am a steady tennis doubles player but golf is so different. One bad shot leads
to other problems. In tennis you can win the point later on in the rally.
I literally just got fitted before Xmas for a Ping G425 Max, between your recommendation and various reviews. It's tough going from a starter set flimsy-shafted driver to an extra stiff on my Ping, but I can't wait to take off this season with it. Instead of looking 240ish in the rough and penalty area, I'll get to drop at about 270 yards! Awesome.
Wow, we have pretty much identical experiences. I, too, got fitted for a new ping g425 max this Christmas. I previously was using an old TaylorMade driver with a super flimsy regular shaft. I had such a tough time adjusting but realizing I needed to swing faster was the best thing that helped me begin to hit straighter, more consistent drives.
@@mjuy15 Nice! How long has your adjustment period been, or are you still in that learning period?
I generally was swinging pretty fast, too fast to control I think, so even with the stiff I think I can take a little bit off of my swing. Only played one round with the driver, did okay, but that was literally first round after getting fitted. I expect a few range sessions helping me out tremendously.
@@richardnavratil9661’m definitely still in a learning period but slowly getting the hang of my swing with the new driver. Got the driver Dec 17 and played a round a day after, no range session, and it was pretty disastrous 😂. I have a pretty bad slice so I really had to take some off with my old driver. But that same swing with the ping was not consistent, I was making poor contact. Anyways, went to the range a ton of times, even shifted the weight on the driver and increased the loft. Played about 4 rounds and that last round I’ve been hitting the furthest and most consistent drives. Just keep hitting the range you’ll get it down! Also watched a ton of CZcams videos on adjusting the driver to better bias a draw since I was hitting some bad slices 😂
I've discounted the new stealth driver would you thing the pings a good balance of forgiveness and distance I'm a mid handicap ?
@@MartinG-vq8ji Absolutely it is. I am a 14-15. Lot of my high scores come from penalties off of the tee box. I swing hard. Way too hard. I do get high 200s and occasional 300s. With bit less of crazy swing I'm settling in the 250-275 range for most of my drives. Forgiving, but not magical
Love your reviews Rick, honest and unbiased.
Great review Rick , shows why you need to test before you buy. £500 a club is to steep for me, but I love seeing all the new tech come out. I just wish the restrictions on driver tech would be dropped so they could just build the best they can. I'm looking forward to the new channel .
I'm going to get fitted next week and was planning on buying last year's model of a driver to save a little cash, but these are tempting!!! Love the color/look of them
They really are awesome drivers! But if you are getting fitted properly then last year's models will perform just as well 👌
Love the honest reviews Rick. Please do more comparisons to last years models. I like to see how much your numbers change. Keep it up.
Thanks to Rick, I was able to make what was by far the biggest single purchase in my golfing career: my very own Garmin Approach G80 ! I love trying out classic and pre owned clubs and am even more excited to experiment this season with my club set. I'm proud to be Mike the Wild Card
You sound like a paid bot. Give over.
Now that's a proper review. Well done Rick. Winter here in Canada I watch a "million" CZcams videos and reviews. You're one of the best.
I heard this same exact thing last year about the Rogue st max and the one before that and the one before that lol. Every year, more distance. Callaway keeps up this amazing technology they claim, we should all
be able to hit 400 yard drives soon lol. Keep up the good work Rick👍
😅😅😅 yeah the speed claims do crack me up, they haven't gotten any quicker in many many years 😅 and I own a fitting studio! and do lots of independent tests and reviews! I must say I do love the Paradym though. On the scale of drivers it is right up there
Glad to see my man Rick doing some great product reviews. Always my favorite part of your channel. Keep it up Rick!
Another great video. Accuracy is king for most amateur players. Keep crushing it in 2023 Rick!
Never mind about Callaway Paradym driver, the clubs to be finding and testing is the Kirkland irons! Yes, Kirkland irons. They are being brought out this year. They are a hollow, forged set. Probably only in the U.S. at the moment, but you’ve beaten the system before Rick. Get on to you’re sources in America and test the clubs everyone is waiting for!
Everyone? Really…not so sure about that…maybe “everyone who is new to the game or just cheap”
Lmao yeah that is what everyone is waiting for
@@gearbox1858 or just tired of paying ridiculous prices for very slight upgrades
I am not everyone but I would be interested to see that review for sure…
I am everyone, and I also want to see that review
I’d like to see what would happen if you spent some time messing around with the paradigm x and working to get that spin rate down. ie, loft and lie changes and a different shaft selection. Seems to me like it could get closer to the ❇️❇️❇️ distance and you’d have the ultimate driver ! That would make a fantastic video as well. All the different ways to change your drivers ball flight patterns.
Another fantastic video by Rick and the crew. Kudos.
That's a very good idea like different shafts will change flights and spin rate all about stats if can get close to Rick's normal distance but extra forgiveness the x version might be best yet
Watch/follow TXG for that sort of thing, they will go into crazy detail to dial it in.
@@countryboy8870 they did a quick video the other day but yea there is more to come and hopefully they can turn the X into the ultimate driver.
@@toastandcakeyoutube4395 Thanks and yes I agree totally 👍🏻
It's a great idea, maybe I will add it to the list 🤔 although shafts changing launch and spin is a myth, and I've fitted thousands of golfers, unless you do anything crazy with length/ swingweight. I have quite a few vids on it. But possibly putting a tour sleeve on it and turning it down to 7* then putting that up against the TD. But I still think it would launch and spin quite a bit more. Really I think that the TD would be more forgiving than the X for some golfers, it all depends on your miss, if I gamed the X I would miss more fairways than if I gamed the TD. Reviews like this can't really get those points across though. It's just Rick's opinion.
i’ve since i started i have played callaway, brought the rouge st max beginning of last season and fell in love, can only imagine what these are like
The new Callaway drivers do look good. I think there will be a lot of them this year in the used clubs department at Dick's sporting goods! A great review Rick thank you for what you do.
Yesss Rick back with the club reviews 🎉🎉🎉
I’m back baby! Ha
Love the new background for reviews and how you reviewed it. Great job rick. Cant wait for more
I’m a weekend golfer or just one or two round per month. That’s why I just bought paradym x driver. I love it so much, easy to swing and most forgiving driver i ever hit. I drive over 270 yards total easily with 102-105 mph SS.
The real battle is Paradym vs Titleist TSR. I upgraded to TSR2 from an epic speed and the difference is night and day. My first non-callaway driver in 10 years, so it took a lot to make the change. Crazy hot across the face and easy to square up. Would love to see a head to head comparison.
This is the battle I'd like to see
The problem is the answer is simple. Whatever club works best for you is the best club. Rick's best driver won't be your best driver. It's not a comparison of what will work best for you but a comparison of technology and its advances year over year.
@@jeremypetro6991 Well of course it is but we enjoy hearing from a voice that tests every single new product on the market and gives feedback. I've used his feedback to somewhat narrow down my choices when I go in for a fitting. Helps a lot for me personally because we have similar swing speeds and body size.
Oooh, duly noted! I have the first gen Callaway Epic Driver and I gotta say I haven't been able to find a driver that is really able to exceed enough in terms of overall performance. Good to know that the TSR2 is making a fantastic difference for you since that driver is on the list of what can be bought.[I am a club fitter]
Just hope the tech is real, now all manufacturer seems going for more cosmetics these days....
I can appreciate how Callaway has engineered significant differences for each driver.
I hit a fade 255 yard carry that turns into slice on bad shots, so 5 years ago bought the XR16 Callaway 10.5 down to 9 degrees as I needed a strong draw bias, worked very well with a slight fade with my swing and quite a long distance club, and paired it with a back up Taylor Made M1 at draw setting if I was hitting it a bit straighter (not as long, as not as much draw bias at its draw setting). Same thing now, gone with the Taylor Made Stealth 2 HD 9 degrees for a draw bias (which in the fitting room was just a slight fade), and a 2nd driver back up Callaway Paradygm 10.5 down to 9 degrees at draw setting when I'm hitting it straighter (not as much draw bias at the draw setting as the Stealth 2 HD). Interesting that the stronger draw bias has reversed- from Callaway XR16 with a bigger draw- to now the Taylor Made Stealth HD has the higher draw, although in both cases the Callaways-the XR16 and Callaway Paradigm- both go a bit further than the Taylor Mades at the time. The more things change, the more they stay the same.
Can’t wait to see all the reviews on the other channel. This year is going to be something special for Rick Shiels Golf
Those drivers look great! I feel like the Paradym logo alone will give me an extra 5 yards.
Playing mavrik at the moment and love it. Very forgiving, added 20 yds distance from last drver( Taylor made) and am certainly finding more fairways. Maybe Santa bring me paradym next Christmas
Good review Rick as usual.
Mavrik was awesome. Such a sweet sound!
Yeah man loving my Mavrik also, but may look at a Paradym this year.
No dude, you just got better at golf.
Rick I just ordered my triple diamond, and I found the same results, 20 yards further and the mis hits weren’t near as bad as cobra or Taylor made! Can’t wait…Great review!!!
Love the content!!! Forgot how much I missed your reviews. Keep them coming so I can get to my local shop and test. Looking forward to the review channel!
Do a break 75 with each driver see what score is the lowest, that would be fun to see. Great review looking forward to more of the 2023 goodies 😍😍
Bought the Callaway Epic Driver and 3wd a couple seasons ago. Love them as much now as I did when I first bought them. Callaway woods have always treated me well and I'll keep using them as long as they continue to work for my game.
I got rogue st driver and 3 wood last year, first upgrade in 8 years. And they are some amazing clubs jmo.
I have Mavrik driver and 5 wood and i love them. This year , wanted a 7 wood to replace a 4 hybrid and got a Rogue. After 3 shots, it became my favorite club!
@@davmar8754 I upgraded to maverick from my 18 rogue and didn't get same results but the Maverick hybrids are amazing. My maverick stiff shaft 3 hybrid is my go to struggling off tee. Guaranteed easy 230 in middle of fairway with it everytime
Callaway have always made great woods to be fair to them you're right, and Paradym is really up there as one of the best they have ever made 🙌🙌
It's February 2024, I've just bought the triple diamon , stiff shaft for a whopping £200.
Can't wait to take it out
Can't wait for the new channel! I always look forward to your reviews!!
Year after year Rick you set the standard for new club reviews. Beautiful job.
After rewatching some older driver reviews from 2019 it’s crazy to me that ball speed numbers of these new clubs are a good amount lower than models from 4 years ago! I’d love to see another comparison video from older model drivers to see if it’s just new looks being put out onto the market these days
he was 4 yrs younger 😏
What drivers? ...Epic Flash? ...M5? I gotta go back and check these out. Thanks @Kendall Summers
They won't be lower or quicker, out the middle they will be the same with all other variables being equal. They are just trying to make them more stable now, which I feel from lots of testing, they are slowly achieving that. But drivers will never get faster, they are limited. All about stability now 👍
@@thefreshbrew_ the epic flash and M5 were great drivers though in all fairness! The M5 was very low spin which is what will affect distance more than ball speed now. It's all about getting those launch conditions dialled as drivers can't get any faster.
Got to love a Rick Shiels club review. So thorough and balanced.
This is Rick at his best. Love the early season tech reviews from Mr. Shiels!! Keep them coming 👍👍👍✊✊💪💪💯💯🙏🙏🙏
Great review Rick. I have recently swapped my G425 LST for an original Stealth as the ping was extremely unforgiving for my low toe miss-hit. I’m immediately finding that I’m hitting more fairways but definitely not hitting it as far. With the higher launch and higher spin from the X model it would be great to see you take a degree or so of loft off it and see if that gives you the extra distance without compromising on forgiveness?
Going down 1 degree in the X model certainly wouldn't give you anywhere near the results of the TD head, I think reviews like this don't necessarily help people as the TD really isn't that unforgiving at all. People just need to understand the variables within forgiveness and that it's not one dimensional. What's forgiving for one person in terms of the head design won't be forgiving for someone else. Just all about getting fitted correctly then you should have max distance and forgiveness 👌👌
I'll stick with my PXG 0211. Does what I need it to do, easy to hit, looks good and dirt cheap compared to all the other brands.
Very good video Rick. And you came to the same conclusion I have heard from others who had a chance to hit it previous to the launch, that the standard Paradym is really good, and will fit the vast majority of players. Also, looking forward to the upcoming Review Channel
Yeah completely agree Robert, we have been super impressed with the Paradym so far. All models in all honesty are seriously good 👌
So excited to be on Callaway Staff this year 🙌🏻
Four years ago Rick reviewed the original rogue. The stats were: Ball Speed 161, Carry 282 and Total distance 300.
But but but... They have a SuPErComPuTeR!!!!!
thats where i have trouble. Still using the Sim ... besides these new ones being cool as shit, i'm just not finding them worth worrying about at this stage. Sim head cracks .... then i could mabee be talked into a super-cool new one haha.
I do agree that the newest driver isn't going to change your game but I do think Rick was a much better golfer 4 years ago than he is today as he isn't at the course everyday anymore
His total distance was 322 with the triple diamond.
This is why I think most consumers can wait at least 5 year to upgrade, the improvements just aren't worth the $500-$800 price tag for a new driver ever 1-2 yrs.
I think those are gorgeous! I'm currently playing the 2018 Rogue. These are definitely intriguing. Maybe a standard version in my future in say 2 years when the prices come down. :)
I’m playing a rogue driver too.(along with 5w 3w) I don’t see a reason to upgrade
@@MachoManAndySavage125 I just picked up a second hand 5 wood to match my driver. I haven't hit with it yet, but I'm certain it's better that the Orlimar Trimetal from college I've still been using. LOL.
Nothing better than a Rick shield review . Looking forward to watching you review the ping g430 and seeing how the number compare to the ping 425.
Just returned from a Driver fitting session, and after working through several club brands, I left with an order for the Paradym X 9° set to D+1. From that you can likely tell that my normal miss is to the right (slice). But with this Driver I was consistently hitting the fairway. Maybe a bit left or a bit right, but zero hooks and zero slices. Very excited to receive this club and start the 2023 season.
Excellent and measured review. Thanks! Going to consider the X, but I'm looking forward to seeing what Cobra comes out with.
Would love to see a robot test of the Maverick, Epic, Rogue and Paradym. Under exact same conditions and swing speeds.
All the same
More excited for you to review the hybrids. They look SO much better from address than their old hybrids IMO
Completely agree Anders! Sooooo much nicer, and they feel great too! 👍
I love your club reviews most of all. Thanks Rick.
Iam new at golf at the age of 62 you are my guru I brought a calloway on your advice. I watch yo as much as I can well done thanks from ireland 🇮🇪
Really hope they release a 4-6° LD version of one of the paradym models! Would love to test it
they have it... But you can always get a "left handed" shaft adapter with callaway that flips the numbers. So even if they only release a 9* driver, you can get that down to 7* with a left handed shaft set on +2 (-2 when on a RH clubhead).
@@tylershumaker4242 interesting, never realized that. Would that also close the face a bit when you lower the loft, as opposed to it slightly opening the face with a right handed adapter?,
@@connormarler1698 not really. Maybe fractionally but nowhere near as much as face angle is affected by loft anyway. More loft makes it easier to square the face and less loft makes it harder. That’s way more the fault closure rate than it is with the loft sleeves.
These clubs look amazing, if only the could put a even cheaper version of the X out, even if it lost another 20 yards I would consider it.
The cheaper version would be previous years models (epic/maverick/rogue, similar shafts size and way cheaper, Stenson had his 3 wood for ages, because it worked, too many players change clubs for the wrong reasons thinking it will change there game, there better off spending £599 on lessons….
It is good to see callaway finally change something and try and improve the looks of their driver. Also interesting that you, Pete and Matt feel very similar about the new line up
It's such a good lineup this year, testing has been amazing so far, think this could be the best Callaway driver so far....🙌
Interesting. I probably will be in the market to replace the Mavrik this year, maybe and will have to give this club a shot. The Rogue didn't show me a real improvement but this one might be both a bit longer and a bit more forgiving. Worth a look.
Highly doubt this will give you better results
Spend your money on lessons
It's definitely worth a try. But it won't be any longer. That now is just about getting fitted properly, they haven't got any quicker in many years! But the stability of the new Paradym is very impressive I must say
@@pete5044 not far wrong Pete, and I own a fitting studio! Think the only problem with 'tech' is people look to it to fix their problems, rather than them actually fixing their swing.....skill level over better clubs any day
To the 95% of thoes thinking new clubs are going to make a drastic improvement to your game, think again! Spend your money on lessons. The world's best could beat most non pro golfers with little tike youth set of 7 clubs or less. Come to think of it, this would be a good video idea.
I would agree with this if the driver was anything but a Paradym. The Paradym is absolutely game changing.
True. It depends on what mood youre in too tho.
Shafts make a bigger difference rather than just the head. If you put the right shaft in a taylormade m6 you can keep up with the newest stealth
We're buying it anyway. Lol, this driver is game changing honestly...
Excellent review Rick. I must say that the Paradym is the best looking Callaway driver I've ever seen. I currently game an Epic Speed which I feel is OK but unfortunately I hit my 3 wood just as far and keep it in play better. I'm at the age where now I'm looking to use the lightest shaft in order to gain more club head speed. Alas, my driver distance slowly creeps downward with each passing year. Very nice job on the review.
12:43 NUT
Good review Rick! I absolutely love the looks (but I am surprised the Triple Diamond didn't have the arrow indicator on the crown).
This to me looks like another win for Callaway drivers. I was a huge fan of last year's Rogue ST and am a fan of this one too!
100% D W! The Paradym family is a huge win for Callaway and in just a few days of fittings is doing unbelievably well. It's going to be a hard one to beat this year 👍
The one thing this review was missing compared to your other reviews is switching the weight to the back. Similar to how you tested some of the cobra drivers with a heavier weight forward and then with the heavier weight in the back. I would think that would make the Triple Diamond more forgiving while still going further than the standard or X version.
Agreed I was surprised he seemed to forget to check that
Finally, a Callaway driver that doesn’t get the “similar to previous year” from Rick and might even go in his bag.
Just got fitted , hit all 3, and the triple diamond was the clear winner for me. Get it delivered in a few weeks. I’m pumped. Was getting 20 more yards carry from my mavrik subzero
Tested all of them a few days ago. I was testing all the new 2023 draw types. This one felt very easy to swing, but only somewhat forgiving truthfully. My ranks in just forgiveness which is most important to me as a 12 index were 1. Stealth2 2. Paradym 3. PING 430. Wasn’t very close either. Went in wanting a PING as well.
Looking forward to Cobras effort this year more than anything else
Same. Can’t wait.
DONT FALL FOR THE TRAP!
drivers now compared to just 3 years ago are so so so similar that the differences are negligible. There is no breakthrough in technology that is so massive that you should be spending your money on a new driver every year. channels like rick need to produce content and new clubs like this one provide an opportunity for them to make more money. This driver won’t fox your slice. It won’t help you hit it farther. You won’t find the sweet spot more consistently. Do not fall for the marketing trap.
What the engineers that work for these manufacturers do is they gather a bunch of golfers and group them into a certain amount of categories. If the company is launching 3 new drivers, they group these golfers into 3 categories and change stuff within the club to best fit each group. One group might be people who struggle with consistency and so the weight in the driver might be shifted farther back in 1 model. Etc etc.
If you get a properly fit driver for you right now, it should last at minimum 5 years. Probably more like 7-9 years. This is barring any major swing changes or major gains in speed
If you wanna buy it because your rich and want something new, go ahead but otherwise, I cannot emphasize this enough, DONT FALL FOR THE TRAP
Well said , they all say it’s our longest driver ever , but they never say it’s actually longer than previous models , all drivers are at maximum speed from centre hits it’s only off centre that can be different. The other annoying thing is the price of the drivers , £500 plus is ridiculous, as in a 6 months time it will be worth £250. It’s about time people said no to these prices and let manufacturers know we have had enough of being screwed over
theres a reason why you have 2.5 mil subscribers your reviews are by far the most thorough and informative thanks Rick
I think Rick would really benefit from at stiff flex shaft . Some like a velocore or graphite design.. that extra stiff doesn’t give him the right pop for swing speed . Awesome review !! Thank you !!
Who choose this video over Peter finches?

You can't 'ask' a computer 'Can you improve a driver?'... and get the reply 'yes' followed by the solution with no other input other than the question 🤣🤣 That's the lamest marketing spiel ever 🤣🤣

I tried the paradym driver at a golf clinic this week, out of the golf pro’s bag. It felt good and the ball carried farther than my own customer made driver. 🤩
I was this close to buying a Stealth.. Now I'm thinking twice! Thanks for the video Rick.
Hi Rick,
I have been fortunate enough to wander in to
My Pro shop and enquire about the Paradym kit.
Fitting kit arrived that morning.
My Pro had time.
Read many reviews and was fairly sure the Paradym would be my choice.
My current handicap index is 11.0
I was off 7 at 14 years old so been playing for years.
So we used all 3 heads.
It was very clear that the Paradym X was the head for me.
All the data told us that the dispersion meant I was unlikely to miss
many fairways which Is my goal.
So ordered the Paradym X driver and fairway wood.
So forgiving and enough distance for me.
Cheers,
Jim

Going into my fitting today, I FULLY anticipated leaving with g430… but the SECOND I hit the Callaway I knew that was the winner! It felt AMAZING!! Never really been a Callaway guy, def with the driver. But it blew me away!! Get fitted and try it out yourself!!!
I really like the fact that you really are independent of anyone for your reviews Rick. Subsequently your thoughts carry more weight. Thanks Rick.
I gotta say, that was a great review. I’m in the market for a new driver and you’ve offered some fantastic advice. Thanks for that, cheers
love your reviews Rick, would love to see you review the new TSR drivers
Love the look of them. However just purchased tsr 2 which I love didn't think anything could take me away from my sim 2 but that blue 💙 being an Everton fan it looks good . Looking forward to ping g430 and stealth 2 reviews ,keep uo the great work 👍
I’m excited to see what’s up with these and RS back with the club reviews! Hell ya!!
Thanks a lot for the descriptive and honest review Rick.
Love your content !
I have a great big Bertha and love it. It’s older and was used when I picked it up. Feels great pretty forgiving but feeling like it’s losing its touch as it’s getting older now. So currently looking for a new driver for this yr. I have hit a few cobra and really like them…. But so many choices and I’m a mid handicapper. Great review!
if you have any sort of swing speed .... you'll notice the difference with anything modern. Much as i loved the GBB .... it is out-dated easily these days. Good luck picking a new toy though. Sim, stealth, last few yrs titleists, last few years pings, cobras.... They'll all be great man.
What a review. Always on your game Rick
This review has me wanting to go down to my local pro shop and give these drivers a smash!
Great review, no ego....put in the bag what keeps you in the fairway. Thanks for sharing your expertise.
It was time to watch Mr. Shiels making a new review! Good job!
Always loved Taylormade drivers… and Ricks equipment reviews. Ready for driver release season
It's a super exciting time!! And busy for filming 🙈😅😅👌
Excited for this 2023 year videos!!
I fully agree with the opinion that this could be the best driver 2023. I bought a standard one 2 months ago. I had to buy it for my second set of clubs. I have Tailor made in my first set, so I bought Paradime for second. First I was struggling with slice and I regretted the purchase, but then I started to experiment with the weight in the back and found a perfect setup. I can say, that after two months of playing, my drives are about 20 m longer on average than with the Tailormade SIM2, which I really loved.
I typically am not a callaway fan, but just got done testing this driver out and it is an absolute beast. I would say top two drivers this year are the Paradym and the TSR range
Hopefully going to be hitting this soon, may or may not replace the TSi3. Thanks for the review, Rick!
I had a funny experience last year, tried the Rogue ST Max driver on demo day, not tried a driver in 20+years, and I could not hit this thing wrong. I did not buy any because I got a putter and a W3 instead but going to look into driver this year.
Even more than the Triple diamond distance + X forgiveness = G430 LST. Have it since last month, it's surreal. You are about to be mind blown good Rick...
Come on love the club reviews your honesty is the best no matter how big the brand 👍🏻👍🏻
