- NOFX hören auf! Seit Frontmann Fat Mike die Auflösung der Formation bekannt gegeben hat, sind die Punk-Legenden auf großer Abschiedstournee. Über die Vergangenheit mochte Mike wenig mit uns reden, vielmehr haben wir dann über die Besonderheiten der Tour, seine Aktivitäten abseits der Band und seine Zukunftspläne gesprochen!

NOFX quit! Since frontman Fat Mike announced the band's dissolution, the punk legends have been on a big farewell tour. Mike didn't want to talk to us much about the past; instead we spoke about the special features of the tour, his activities outside of the band and his plans for the future!

Danke für das Interview Otti, Deine Connections müssen ja echt nicht ohne sein, dass Du Fat Mike vor die Kamera bekommen hast 😉👍 Für den Aufwand finde ich aber echt schade, dass es bisher relativ wenige Klicks hat. Vielleicht sollte der Titel des Videos mehr Google-freundliche Begriffe beinhalten ? Schöne Grüße !
Lieben Dank fürs Feedback! Das Netzwerk erweitert sich stetig, wobei das Interview mit Fat Mike natürlich ür mich auch etwas besonderes war. Mal schauen, welche Türen sich als nächstes öffnen... ;) Das mit den Aufrufen stimmt, die könnten mehr sein, wobei die Kurve gerade ordentlich anzieht. Ob man da viel "Google-Opimierung" betreiben kann weiß ich gar nicht - entscheidend ist meines Wissens nach vor allem, dass der CZcams-Algorithmus das Video für relevant genug hält, um es weiteren Fans vorzuschlagen. Da siehts aber derzeit echt gut aus und im Hintergrund optmmiere ich natürlich verschiedenste Dinge. :)
Das ist tatsächlich alles nochmal deutlich komplexer. Könntest aber versuchen in den Titel z.B. "Interview with Fat Mike" hinzuzufügen. Das könnte echt schon noch was bringen. Viel Erfolg noch und bleib dran 😉

Mr. Interviewer, I’m sorry to say but your questions were the opposite of groundbreaking.
Who needs originality when we can recycle the same tired inquiries Mike has answered in every other interview?

normally I don't like to explain myself this way, but in cases like this it might help other watchers as well:
1. This interview was not meant to be groundbreaking. It was meant to be a basis for a print article I wrote about the history and the end of NOFX for an Austrian magazine. For this I needed original info and hoped to get some good quotes. All my preparation was for this, but Mike destroyed 70% of my preparation by showing and telling me, that he does not like to talk about the past, so I had to improvise very much.
2. It was not even sure if I would be allowed to use this on CZcams as well. It was Mike himself who told me "no problem" at the end. At the beginning I felt that he was rather sceptical, tired of talking ahout NOFX and at the end/afterwards he was jolking with me. I am honest that this was one of my most challenging interviews so far, as it was obvious that Mike was not in the best mood for doing this. But I am proud of the outcome, because many people like it, and Mike allowing me to publish it, shows me that he liked it as well, or at least did not hate it. ;)
3. Calling me "clueless about NOFX" without knowing and thinking about the backgrounds of this interview is simply offending. I am no die hard fan for sure, but I know about the core history, the importance of the band as well as Mike and his label, most of the music and have been to a few shows. But mainly I am a curious music lover.
And I do the interviews for people like me. If you look at the channel, there's a wide range of topics, just to say from punk to metal to goth to pop and so on. Even videos and interviews that have nothing to do with music. At some topics I'd call myself an expert, at others I am really clueless, but totally curious. Regarding NOFX I would say I am somewhere in the midth of that range.
And this is what I do this channel, these interview for: For the wide range of people, who are interested and wanna learn something. For people, who only know the name of the band, as well as for people like me, that know something, but would love to learn more. I always hope that I get some info for the die hard fans as well, but it's not meant to satisfy only them. My main impulse is my own curiosity.
So this might not be the kind of interview that makes you happy, but it has it's reason and is made with my heartblood and love for the music. It was made to be a basis for my article and some kind of portrait/presentation of the band on this channel. And it helped at least me to get some more clues about NOFX.;)
