- With several years of experience with political engagement and academic research, Prof. Tamás has time and again challenged the status quo to highlight critical issues affecting society.
Over the last few decades, there has been a noticeable rise in populistic tendencies of authoritarian nature. Beginning with the
disambiguation of the term populism, exploration of the probable causes of toxic populism shall be discussed. Considering the global economic and political status quo, outlook towards social change and enhancement of social capital will be evaluated.

I was honestly interested in the thoughts of Prof. Gáspár Miklós Tamás, but I have to say, that his line of reasoning and conclusions about democracy are rather sparse and therefore bisassed. (He practically explains how to make ice cream, but forgets to mention the necessity of a cooling system.) The intelectual construction Prof. Gáspár has built reflects the foundation it was built upon...
What the most worrying hower is that the young intellectuals in the audience seem to lack the very bases of critical thinking to challenge the professor's ideas. Perfect setting for a "civilised" ideological indoctrination of our intellectual "elite", I'd say...
Your criticism somewhat lacks substance (and thus critical thinking in practice aside of suggesting of that you might posses such). So would be valuable actually pointing out contentions here.
True. It levels with the substance of the video though... :)
@@gonczos You wish.
@@katsumikiyota4658 you wish italiano wasn't true. 🙂
@@gonczos Ok, mate, sure whatever you say. I wish one thing however, that you would actually put substance in your criticism, because you did not. That is what I wish for mostly.
Teh notion that TGM is not critical of elite is just without substance. Really? Where did you heard that out that he is not critical of the elites? Can you pinpoint out in the talk? Or even elsewhere if you wish. Please do substantiate your claims.
