@@tylerjohnson-speedcuber If everything was performed the right way and several witnesses were present it should be valid though in my opinion..

I think it is un oficial solve becouse they were running trios not 3x3, are diferent categoríes (trios is u oficial category)

What makes this an unofficial solve? The event? Or the fact that he had more than 15 seconds of inspection, looking at the cube laying in front of him whilst waiting on his turn to solve it?
There’s no judge next to him for a start
it was a team relay not an official event
It wasn’t done in an official round of a competition.

*I don't give a darn. It was witnessed by thousands and it's an official solve IMHO. Who gives a crap about politics. Oh, his mom was not there and he was wearing the blue shoes and officials were not next to him, etc... It's all bull crap. This is an official solution and caught on camera very clearly.* *Now if he was at home then it's nothing but a PB but this happens at a contest under pressure and all. All the elements were there. This is IMO an official solve time.*
The fact that he was staring at the cube in front of him and able to inspect for more than 15 seconds is enough to disqualify it. It's unfortunate, but the rules have to be adhered to otherwise everyone would be asking for exceptions.

The record has been broken in hundreds of unofficial solves, some being faster than this one
