    Jana, I finally had time last night to make this, and they're delicious and easy, and what surprised me was how well I felt afterward for the entire evening and into the next morning. I normally feel healthy and well, but I felt even better than usual. It's the first time I've had oyster mushrooms, so maybe that was it (because I'm used to the other ingredients). I love vegan food. Thank you so much for your work.

    Hi Chef- I’ve made this twice once with Oyster mushrooms and once with portobellos. The portobellos were not as good... particularly in their texture. To bump up the taste of the sea, I added Old Bay seasoning. This is a keeper! 👍 Obrigado...

      @@FABIOof119 do you think your ancestors had acces to meat every day? No need to get malnourished on a plant based diet. I bet you'll find more people who die from cardiac arrests than broccoli overdose.
      And if you look it up; It takes far more land to produce plants for meat-produce, than it would if humans ate plantbased.
      There is room for everyone, though. No need to get so agresssive over at recipe video, really.

    Can I just say you seem like a really nice person and it's super kind that some of the profit from your merch is going to the local animal shelter. I'm 11 and when I grow up I want to be a vet and I went vegetarian by choice when I was 9 years old even though I LOVE meat so it's really great your making all of these vegan recipes. Not tried it yet but you sound like you know what you are doing so I think it will work... hopefully!

    I tried to make this without flour a couple years ago epic fail. I've since learned to make patties from veggie pulp. Would love to see more pulp recipes ❤❤.
    I use the leftover pulp from homemade broth. Squeeze through nutmilk bag (you need 2c) then add:
    1 flax egg, 1/2c nutritional yeast, 1/2c gf flour(or oats, chickpea, potato flour...), 1tblsp any herb you like. I use a mix of tomato powder, fennel, ital herb, onion/garlic powder and salt. I've also tried coconut aminos, worchester, mustard, cumin...
    Mix together and shape. It will be sticky. Dehydrate on parchment paper, bake or pan fry til done. Its so good. I grill the mushroom separately to keep the flavor then add to the veggie mix. This is the base for all patties and its a lot easier than it sounds (prep time 15 min). When ever i make broth, we have patties!💋

    I like that you use pretty "natural" whole food options in the videos I have seen so fare, so even someone who is not vegan might like to eat those while store bought options are often very processed, contain wierd ingredients and are just kind of gross when one thinks about it.
    Gone try this one out, I like mushooms and they make quite a good substitute for fish and meat ^^.
    And I am exteamly curious about the banana peel meatballs ^^
    Little tipp: show the inside of things like this, the inside texture is a huge selling point or deal breaker!

    I made these tonight - FABULOUS! I did not know if I had 300g, so I halved everything. I had 1 cup shredded oyster mushrooms (washed, stems on!), 1/4 tsp sea salt, a little chopped dulse in the food processor. Then I added a little grated purple onion (no lemon juice) & then 1/4 cup unbleached flour. I formed 4 small patties & coated them with Panko bread crumbs, sauteed them in a little sunflower oil in a nonstick ceramic pan until golden brown. Yum! : )

    This is my favorite fish recipe. I have made this 3 times now. They freeze very well.
    I have the nori sheets I use, and dulse flakes. It leaves 🍃 little green flakes and looks lovely.

    I didn’t know about the kelp. Putting it in the freezer to set it, is a great idea. I’ll be using Almond flour, grape seed oil, and a almond yogurt for a sauce that I make for fish tacos 😊

    ...w😮W SO excited to see this... after becoming vegan - almost 4 years now😁🌱) the food I miss the most is seafood...I think the addition of nori powder is AWESOME...happy 🐟(((❤️)))... just got to the end... absolutely...... l💗ve wasabi powder...use it in dips and such ALL the time..!

    If you are going to make thismake sure you find some of the yellow oyster mushrooms from your local market as they actually have a fishy taste!!!

    I miss fish more than meat and although there are some half-decent fake-fish products around yours look just as good - if not better. Oyster mushrooms aren't my favourite thing but I can see how they will work for this recipe - clever idea! Can't wait to try this recipe, thank you.

      Nori nutrients include calcium, copper, iron, magnesium, manganese, phosphorus, potassium, selenium, zinc and then some! Nori can actually contain up to 10 times more calcium than milk!

    Great! There is also a mushroom called "Chicken of the woods" that tastes like chicken. I look forward to making the fish fillets and chicken fillets. I will use a quality low carb flour. Thanks so much for your recipes!

      @@ChefJana - - this is a perfect place to mention a funny story. I had a can of oyster mushrooms and decided to make a vegan pasta puttanesca with the shrooms, olive oil, olives and scallions. The mushrooms tasted so much like seafood that I was unable to eat it. I sat the bowl down and walked away - - I had to get the taste out of my mouth. When I returned, much to my surprise, my Himalayan cat was chewing on the mushrooms. He couldn't really bite off pieces as they were whole and pretty rubbery, but he was in kitty heaven. The way I could tell is that his eyes were watering as he kept on chewing !!! 😂😂😂
