    I just purchased this Maxx Haul hitch crane. It works great however, the assembly instructions were not included and I had to figure out the assembly myself. It took a while to figure out which bolts went where. All in all it works great for lifting cargo into the bed of your truck provided it weighs UNDER 500 pounds. Even though the crane is rated for 1000 pounds lifting capacity I would not attempt to try and lift anything more than 500 pounds to be on the safe side. Additionally, I would recommend using a hydraulic bottle jack under your trailer hitch to help take the load off the hitch.

    I'm wondering if the main horizontal stabilizing bar attaching to the hitch receiving T bar to see if the 2 bolts let you adjust how far the horizontal stabilizer bar went in (closer to the tail gate). I would like to see the hoist be able to safely reach the truck bed center for the bulky items rather than so close to the truck bedside wall.

    whats the highest the bottom of the hook can be? I have a dump truck that the bed sits at 48" so id need to have at least a height of 96" to place items without bumping into the bumper

    One major flaw is that it doesn't center position the load.

    Just received my hitch crane (MaxxLift) yesterday , assembly was a breeze took 10 minute max after laying all the pieces out. First thing I noticed is that the receiver that accepts the boom assembly is over sized and the boom assembly moves back and forth this puts an even pressure on the thrust bearing second thing I noticed is that the actual bearing rides just above the receiver and was not properly seated, lastly the wielding is very inconsistent and is not of high quality in the areas where most of the weight is going to be addressed the wields are less then a 1/4 inch you might want to address this with the MFG (China) and emphasize quality control. I will make the necessary adjustment to my new portable crane not complaining just pointing some issues that you should address you are an American company right?

    in the 1000 lb position the load crashes into the bed corners.

    I love the crane but I just wish it worked with a winch and was rated at 2000 lbs. It would be then perfect for me and my many jobs.

    No one on these factory demonstrations show how to get the weight of the loaded truck off of the stabilizing legs. I would prefer some type screw jack for stabilization.

    • @williamwarren4606
      @williamwarren4606 Před 3 lety +1

      The only added weight was the load, a simple cheap bottle jack or the trucks spare tire jack under the receiver for a few seconds would work, as would a 6 foot 2x4 and block for a fulcrum.

    Really wanted to like this crane but there is no way this will lift a 1000lb load into truck without it hitting the side of the bed. The crane is well made but has some serious defects in the design. The boom needs to be longer, stronger to lift the 1000lbs actually into bed. It will lift 500lbs into the bed of the truck, not centered but onto the tailgate and truck bed. You will need a way to move item around to center it or it will be next to one of the side rails depending on which side of the tailgate the boom is located. When you move the boom hook to the 1000lb bolt location it limits the height and distance you can achieve. It can lift 1000 lbs up but you'll have to muscle it into the truck bed. Pretty dangerous effort.

    Can you put a motorcycle into your truck bed with this?

    • @OMGWTFLOLSMH
      @OMGWTFLOLSMH Před 5 lety +9

      Do the math 84" max lift, less the height of the bike from the lift point and the height of the bed. Plus, the bike should probably be under 500 lbs for best clearance. It would probably work fine for a small dirt bike, not for an HD Electra Glide. Would you trust this cheap Chinese crap with your expensive bike? Not me.

    I must say, beauty works. Who can see such a beautiful woman working around such heavy equipment and not want to watch this video. And after a few times watching this, I did two things. I searched for the item being advertised and ordered it; and then went on to look for more Scottish beauties. I don't know, that's what I guessed that this beauty is from Scottish ancestry.

    I don't like this style hitch crane to slow setup

  • @mtube620
    @mtube620 Před 5 lety +2

    not the best design, too many moving parts to assemble and de-assemble. Hydraulic is slow and don't work well in cold weather and add weight.
