  • By default, Power BI will only use the data column relating to the active relationships when using columns from multiple tables in your visuals. In this video, Angelica will show you how to use the DAX function, USERELATIONSHIP to activate inactive relationships to make your data analysis more meaningful.

Thank you for this resource. 😃 Question RE 10'39" mark of video: How is it that the Quantity by Ship Date (729) is greater than the Sum of OrderQuantity? I've never worked in a context that tracked these sorts of values; I wonder if the 729 figure represents some items shipped over the course of 2012 Quarter 1 that were 'sold' in 2011? Thanks for sharing if my question makes sense LOL.

Hi I need help using inactive relationships. I have a calendar table with two values() tables of year from that calendar. I need to filter the years where there are spaces from the slicers using both those tables. The onde that is active works ok. The inactive one never gets filtered. Using normal sales from the facts or using sales with use related table. How can I get the value that don't return sales form the slicer using the year on the inactive relationship
