It's sad. They would have been a real power couple.
Despite being only in a handful of episodes Kehylar was one of my favorite characters. It would've been great to see her appear in more episodes, her death was really sad and shocked me when I first saw it. I think that's a credit to the actor and writers, she felt like a character I spent several seasons with rather than a few episodes.
Her death led to the best fights in the whole series, bar none.
The tragedy of Wolf and Kehylar. It brings near tears to my eyes.
Worf got some good taste.
Those automatic doors on the Enterprise have the best AI ever.
They knew that Picard would not answer her question, so remained open to allow her to leave. But, elsewhere, they can walk right up to the door and, if not intending to pass through the door yet, as they're having a discussion, the doors know not to open just yet.
It's almost as if the ship's computer has already read the script...
I mean, that’s probably a pretty trivial task for computers in the 24th century. The Enterprise computer monitors everything. That’s how it knows in a split second where anyone is on the ship, and what they’re doing. It’s not far fetched to assume the doors are intelligent.
most modern sliding doors have a censor that detects the presence of an object and will remain open as long as there might be a possible obstruction. its usually a safety feature so the door doesnt snap shut and hurt anyone. to act like there might not be a better version of this in like 400 years is absurd.
Are you trying to take down the grand scheme of Star Trek with door AI? Don't be a bitch. How the fuck do you know how door AI works have you programmed any of it?
czcams.com/video/49t-WWTx0RQ/video.html door AI explained.
The doors have sensors near the floor.
3:47 That Picard look is honestly what made the character. It's that look of conviction, professionalism, and experience.
Then they utterly desecrated it.
@@rh906 Including Patrick Stewart himself, apparently.
worf should ahv told her the turth. would have saved her life by not snooping into the files
What a woman.
Indeed. She exudes feminine confidence with every biting remark, every sultry step, every smoldering stare.
Same actress also played the female Q on ST:Voyager.
And she played Dr. Selar in an earlier episode of this series.
i think i like worf and her better then worf and jadzia
@@arceerogueharleyquinncapta9925 Oh by far. Jadzia was good, but K'Ehleyr was something else.
This is heartbreaking
Riker- "We can HEAR YOU "
Damn, Kahylar was a good-looking Klingon. Oath me up!! ;)
For real. The the actress accentuates her words with her lips. Sexy as hell
The same actress was a really hot Q, later.
She is the same actress who portrayed the female Q on ST Voyager.
And the Andorian 'Tarah' on ST Enterprise and of course, Dr Selar on TNG in the earlier seasons.
"The old form dictated that the challengers perform the Rochambeau. It's a long involved ceremony..."
“I’m just gonna walk up to the automatic door so that it opens and we have no privacy anymore and then I’m gonna turn and ask Cap’n to tell me a big secret...”
_'I refuse to acknowledge that those doors are open because they are normally so much smarter than this.'_
Oh my god…
Take the oath, don't take the oath. Make up your mind, Worf!
he does not want her and alexander share in his dishonour
He did via his Bat'leth in Duras's chest
You do know that he wanted to take the oath, but she decided not to, and then come back with a surprise that even Worf didn’t expect
The doors are usually so smart, but here they open into listening-in-from-bridge mode even though she wanted to discuss something personal.
Picard: _I'm sorry, I can't discuss it. ... The doors are open._
Just listening to this woman's voice is enough to arouse one's... interest.
Suzie Plakson who played K'Ehleyr as both playful and flirtatious as well dominant and forceful
And you're not talking about the puppy....
Beautiful in many ways. First she challenges him to have courage in speech, too. That allows her to open up, too.
Then he makes it clear that he is so honorable that he goes against his strong desires, and he understands that what others think matters, and while adults can deal with that more easily, the boy would not have that advantage. It could be hell for him. By choosing not to be there as his father, he is being a good father
Then she offers a beautiful compromise, all the practical results without the official backing.
Then again... if Alexander had grown up with a discommended father, that experience might also have strengthened his character. But that might also have dissuaded him from living in the klingon empire and instead preferring to live among humans. But Worf probably thinks about his own pain of discommendation and doesn't want Alexander to experience the same. - And he might become an important figure in the empire at some point. Complex story opportunities.
Thinking long-term, it might gradually build a suspicion, though, if Worf interacts with Alexander and his mother, 'just as friends', but one would wonder who the boy's father then is.
That was a nice thing to read ^^
@@Exzal123 Ditto. 🙂
2:26...."Nor can I claim YOUR son!" - that was quite a cold way for Worf to put it. Even in private talking with K'Ehleyr he cannot use the words that acknowledge Alexander to be his son.
He did this to protect his son from dishonor
@@williambritt2787 Yes I understand that, my point was that even in the most private surroundings with her, he wouldn't acknowledge Alexander as being HIS. He refused up until he had no choice but to take him with her death!
More like Worf doesn't want Alexander to carry his family's shame.. it's a burden only he would carry until the day he died...or he met Martok.
Star Trek TNG. Classic and Iconic.
K'ehleyr was one of the best guest characters and written out way too soon. At least she will go down with one of the most epic fuck yous possible.
As head of security, it is my duty to protect that booty
Anyway , although this could be true ( what I said ) , being a friend is what being daddy is all about .
Make friends . You won’t regret it .
Man, this scene's got me hurting for this ship.
One way street worf... everyone has to understand his thing but damned if he understands anyone else's...😂😂😂😂
Maury Povich would have been great in this episode. "Worf, you are the father!" "you have chosen then?"
Alexander's nothing like his parents.
Only thing I found weird about this is how a Federation Ambassador was brutally murdered on board the Enterprise and there wasn't a bigger shitstorm. Granted, Worf took care of the perp, but still, I would imagine this would have caused some serious diplomatic issues. At least some of those redshirt security types had to have been demoted to waste extraction.
This woman has incredible range, providing the many layers of K'eyhlar, to becoming the wife of Q and mother of Q.
I forgot how much I liked her. Not only did the actress do a great job, but the character is intriguing. She's half-Klingon, like Worf. Right? That would make them a unique pair, and it does.
Worf isn’t half Klingon. He’s full blooded Klingon. He was just raised by humans after his family got massacred at Kitomer by the Romulans.
@@youtubeistryingtocensorme Thank you for correcting me. I can't believe I wrote that he was half-Klingon. Sometimes half my brain shuts down. :)
"Cheeee DOKH!"
"Ohhh...you sweet talker..."
I've never seen Worf look so aroused.
I hope Worf got a paternity test
Imagine an outtake where, Worf farts during the dramatic scene where he's "explaining" himself.
Wish I could find the soundtrack for this scene. One of my favorites.
This really puts in perspective how daft the idea of Worf and Troi was!
To be fair it amounted to a handful of episodes in the final season. Just pointless fluff.
I think that he would probably have discussed it had he known about her relationship with Worf.
He probably would have discussed it if she hadn't opened the doors to the bridge so everybody can listen in. 😆
"If You Cannot Be His Father, At Least Be His Friend"..America never changes.
The simp energy here is uncanny
Kehylar was awesome and she should've had more screentime. Heck, them killing her off was a damn shame.
It was the only plot device way they could stick Alexander with Worf. How exactly would they have made that work without killing her off?
"If you cannot be his father, at least be his friend."
Later:
"Are you the father?"
"I.. no, I am his.. friend."
"Wtf are you socializing with a 2yo?!"
Something like that actually discouraged me from befriending someone that I got along with well at work(they were a summer temp worker). Because they were
_"I never played with boy..."_
Worf has been with some of the most beautiful women in Star Trek - The OG Alpha
Worf gettin some😂
Picard every the politician even when choosing the next leader. He knew he had to somehow buy time and the long wind of the Klingons were their own downfall.
Amazing, how they spoke Klingon, and yet... I was so moved by K'ehlar's gentle response: Maj Dok. Submissive, yet strong.
Suzie Plakson was brilliant.
❤
What does that mean anyway?
@@Lucy19820 I think it means "our blood" in response to his "my blood" (?)
Interesting
I got it thank you
when a woman submits a man MUST know what to do... calmly and confidently
id be on kaylar like a puppy on a stuffed toy 😃
He made a promise to Kim package to speak of it to anyone
In Worfs defense Alexander is the worst Klingon
So baby daddy’s of the future just claim dishonor and they get out of child support? The future is bright.
She not only was a fine Klingon, She had a sexy as hell voice.
I liked her, to bad she wasn't in more episodes. She likes difficult men, Worf and Q LOL!!!
That's a love story that should of happened
I wanted to see her Mirror Counterpart
Warf was a coward.😢
I believe this thumbnail is a misstatement . You can not stop being a farther , but daddy you can .
Worf was so ridiculously stubborn here. Yes, his family has been dishonored but if Duras had won the chancellorship then that would have been irrelevant. No way in hell does Worf let a son of his live in an empire run by Duras, dishonor or not. Not even Kurn would have been safe in that situation. If Gowron had won, the threat of the Duras family significantly diminishes as they have no heir (known of at least) and he could petition Gowron with the truth (which he later does anyway). I get the plot of it but he could have easily "wed" K'Ehleyr and dealt with his dis-commendation later.
Not necessarily. Remember what Worf says at the end after Duras is dead that he can't reveal the truth because the rest of the High Council was complicit in the lie. Even with Duras seemingly gone, the rest of them would still not want Worf's family name restored
@stars9084 fair point, but they could spin that as a deception by Duras but you're right. He did say that
*_Wtf does that "beans" bit have to do with anything????_*
🧐🤔🤨🤷🏼
#wtf
Was it Worfs biological son that they were talking about or was she a single mom?
Worf, it's not oath. It's spelled oaf and you are one for rejecting K'ehleyr who's literally throwing herself at you.
But she's not a traditionalist, so she doesn't want to keep an oaf. 😜
This relationship was frustrating and upsetting. Worf couldn't get over the derelict Klingon customs that most other Klingons couldn't live up to either.
He should have chosen that beautiful Klingon woman over those hypocritical boneheads from Klingon
Rule 1 Never Date Worf
Man Worf cannot luck out with women can he...
Worf has 2 feelings. Anger and frustration.
All woman
Klenhon women always angleing for child support
worf such a deadbeat.
Typical man....cold feet at the last second.
Typical woman... putting yourself before the good of your children.
@@richtea615 oooooh shit!!! That comeback sounded like it could slap the taste out of the mouth. Dayuuummmm!
@@richtea615 You are 100% correct. It's so typical for women today, the modern woman, to dump on her child's father, all while using the child as weapon (false statements to the police and whoever will listen) and shield ("Don't you dare tell anyone the truth about me. I'm the child's mother!!!"). I'm just so tired of women's hate.
@j- Marie
You realize she bailed on him and kept his child a secret right? Only to come back years later to just unload everything on him at once?
Fact is she had cold feet first. Worf was trying to make sure that if his son wanted to live in the Empire he'd be able to do so without having his honor and status in society nuked. K'Ehleyr respected that even if she didn't understand. But Worf not telling her what had really happened is unfortunately what led her down the path that would get her killed. K'Ehleyr was unyielding, a normal thing in a Klingon woman.
