This is one of my all time favorite songs by any artist, and your use of dynamics & rubato highlight the sense of longing inherent (but not necessarily expressed) in the original. Fun fact: a friend of mine interviewed Brendan Fraser who confirmed that the lyric at 3:52 (“The procession moves on, the shouting is over...) is a homage to Joy Division, specifically their song “The Eternal”.
