After finding your channel this summer - I am now going deeper into the Archives archives. I'm enjoying getting to travel vicariously while pretty much homebound, so I appreciate the great places and trips. I really appreciate your style and spirit. Guileless, natural, thoughtful, erudite and light hearted. Your gear selections are of no real interest - just a means to get you out there. I really enjoy how you notice plants and wildlife and share your knowledge. And your mad skills with videography, audio and music are really impressive and a joy to experience. For me, you highlight the aspects of outdoor trips that I am after - the simple tasks, the consciousness of being alive, the spontaneous discoveries, large and small amazements in nature, dopey mistakes and satisfaction of adapting and just BEING. I want to thank you so very much, and wish the best for you and hope you are able to continue your chosen lifestyle.

I had the best experience of my life kayaking in the green river. We kayak from 3-9pm. When it was getting dark, it was just me and my friends on the river and then it started to rain, it was hot so the rain felt really good, the sound of the rain, the water droplets pattern on the river, the mist. It was all magical, like I am in a different world.

Looks like you-all had a nice float. I prefer solo paddling and once you perfect your J-stroke, you might too. Paddling is like hiking, but you can move silently and catch wildlife that do not notice you, and yet, bears and snakes cannot sneak up on you. Also, pack weight is not an issue.
Thanks for sharing your adventures! :D

I had someone else in the canoe but I was the only one paddling in the back, and I was getting the hang of it. It's such a wonderfully peaceful activity. And like you said, we got to see some amazing wildlife - a bull moose one day, then a cow moose and her calf the next. We're hoping to do another canoeing episode this summer. I really enjoyed your video. It shows a lot of character between friends who have a lot in common. the narration was spot on, and the I was absorbed in the trip as if I was there myself. Nature is awesome, and you all did a great job expressing it in your film. Thanks for sharing it with me.

+Don Wilson (diggin Time USA) Thank you so much! Glad you enjoyed it. We always worry about whether or not we really captured the feeling of being out in nature, so it's good to hear you say that. It never compares to the real thing, though! Thanks so much for watching! Cheers -Andrew
