- Cover #155. HYPE!! Karnivool just released a new single - the first new song recording since 2013, and I am beyond stoked! All It Takes is one heck of a banger! These guys have been one of my biggest influences over the past decade. This is a drumless version of the song, created through spleeter.
Absolutely phenomenal musicianship displayed in this song, per usual. This is my best attempt at memorising and channeling my inner Steve Judd. For the most part, the orchestration's the same - but I definitely did not nail every single intricate detail nor fill. Judd's an absolute beast. The 3:2 polyrhythms (or at times even polymeters) is on an incredible display in this song, once again. Can't wait to experience them live on tour next year.

Maybe i do it to some songs! Wish you fast recover with your issue i think i read something for this before some months you struggle it someway , i don't remember exactly. Our hands is our weapons and we must watched them as our eyes !! You 're young and i think you recover faster than me.I have too an issue before 2 months after the 2nd dose of Vaccine i felt dizzy and i fall down at a strange road place with a channel but without hurting something serious in according to drumming except my left knee and 2 front teeth broken...that was difficult but now i'm ok and knee it's ok too, nothing serious!! Yes this song is really good and you play fantastic.You do this as approach? I think you said something to the main text explanation and i understand that you put part of yourself into this not copying the original pattern of Judd's drumming.That it was super nice if you do it!! This sounds so good, great job. I have a question, what kind of cymbal do you have under your ride that you are playing throughout the song? The sound of that cymbal+ride is fucking amazing, almost sounds like a hi hat but so much better, or maybe it's not even a ride and is a crash I don't even know but it sounds amazing.
That's a type of stack, I don't know the exact cymbals he used but you can get a similar sound with any large (19-20") crash stacked on top a smaller (14-16") china. He's probably using the Byzance foundry reserve light ride on top, it's in his gear list and it looks right. The china could be any Meinl china.
