INXS were one of the best live bands in the world at this time. Musician magazine said they were: "the best live band in the world."
This is one of their older songs and the essence of their early sound. Michael Hutchence oozes charisma and sex appeal. The whole band is tight af and jammed their butts off all concert. You really need to check out What You Need from this show or New Sensation see them in full flight! I loved your reaction!
More INXS at Wembley pleeeez😬
Every performance was perfection👌🏼
Well the band once said he ALWAYS delivered. Never missed the vocal and performance.
Even if you know the song 'What You Need' you should still watch the live performance of it from this concert - even if just for yourself. Or better yet - the whole concert - it's not just the songs - it's the performance of the whole band with Michael Hutchence leading the way that is mesmerising. They just look like they are also having the best time up there.
One a side note, whats going on with this algorithm..i search INXS reactions daily and this just shows up today?? Im subbed with notifications on full and still just shows up today!!!!! Grrr yt!
Great reaction.Ive been a fan for years now.my favourite songs from the band are

Disappear
Stay young
Front man's name is Michael Hutchence. Died Nov. 22, 1997. One of the all time greats. RIP Mr. Hutchence!
Great reaction 👍
This was their first big hit and quite controversial at the time . They went on the be the biggest band in the world at one time .
There was an award show where they presented Oasis with an award and that idiot Gallagher called them has beens . Michael then went back to the studio and re recorded the lyrics of Elegantly wasted to Better than Oasis . I know who people will still be listening to in another 50 years .
Fantastic band!! Great reaction. Well done. Suicide blonde perhaps??
Aussie music is known for being raw....
Love this song and performance. You should check out Australian legend Jimmy Barnes doing a duet with INXS “good times” live
INXS were the masters of taking simple elements and making it complex and catchy AF. They were the best live band on the planet for a stretch in the late 80s early 90s. I was fortunate enough to see them a few times, and even met and hung out with the band a couple times in the 90s. Check out New Sensation from this same concert.
Can you please react to Elegantly wasted by INXS , music video version please 😊 reaction
It's not pronounced LIVE as in eye, but LIVE as in liv - as if you are living (liv baby liv) if that makes sense.
I thought this reaction was really good at identifying one of the qualities that separated Michael Hutchence from other highly-regarded frontmen (although I’ll quibble with the ‘not magnetic’ descriptor). Many energetic frontmen have a sort of spastic (or, “bag full of cocaine”, if you will) quality to their onstage movements. Freddy Mercury is a great example. Michael’s style was more fluid and (to me, at least) organic. Some singers charge the stage. Others parade on it. Michael seemed to, I don’t know if ‘slither’ is the right word, or maybe ‘glide’. Not that one style is better than another. It all comes down to preference. But, if that particular style is what you like, no one did it better than Michael Hutchence.
Yes exactly!
Fair quibble! What I don't think I expressed properly in my frenzy is that Hutchence (can I call him Hutch?) was so much more SMOOTH than the hard rock of the instrumentalists--which was a very, very winning combination in my mind. Hutchence didn't have "LOOK AT ME!" energy, and very wisely didn't try to gin that up to match the rest of the band. I liked the mysterious tight pantsedness in contrast with the big ball of energy.
don't like devil inside. I don't even know how to process that, it's just..why!
