- Today I meet some very interesting people at the Malatapay Livestock Market in Zamboanuita, Negros Oriental Philippines. This market is open every Wednesday VERY early in the morning.. There is so much so see here! I got here late but still was able to meet some very fun and very talented locals.

The beans we called "patani" ( lima beans or butter beans) the lady said gulay means vegetable...lol That beans is delicious Dustin, ask Raymond to buy it and his dad can cook it..

OMG, I didn’t t know you’ve been in Malatapay,that’s were I shop to buy lives stock etc. it’s 15 min.drive from my father and brother were I was born Inalad Siaton😁. So...cool I miss this place.Thank you Dustin for sharing This.some of the hand made my grandmother used to make it.❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️yes Malatapay Farm local markets are only open every Wednesday,early morning,and they closed early afternoon.😁

Dustin i was born and raised in Tanjay Negros Oriental then after 21 yrs i moved here in Montalban Rizal.. but i never been there in Malatapay..how lucky guy you are..you can roam around the philippines and all over the world..

From Dumaguete City you can travel 45 minutes going to that area. Malatapay livestock Market is the biggest livestock Market in Central Visayas. People in that community trade during Wednesday and some of them come from Cebu and other neighboring provinces. At the edge of that Market is a port going the Apo Island, one of the most beautiful marine sanctuary and diving spots in Negros Oriental.
Apo Island is a stunning place wherein you can enjoy swimming to 4 different types of endangered sea turtles in a 5 feet deep only.

WE ALWAYS GO TO MALATAPAY EVERY WEDNESDAY TO MARKET BUT I'VE NEVER BEEN TO APO ISLAND BUT I KNOW I HAVE AN AUNT THERE THAT HAS A BEACH RESORT BUSINESS AND BOATS THAT TRANSPORT PEOPLE TO GO TO APO AND SOME TO DIVE. APO ISLAND IS A VERY FAMOUS DIVING SPOT IN THE PHILIPPINES.👍👍

That lizard in 4:05 is called a 'tuko' up north. Not sure about the Visayan name for it. They can get quite large. You can't miss them when they're around and start making their distinctive loud call --- 'tuk-koh'. They won't bother you but their call is ridiculously loud.
