You called out the playoff numbers but did not mention the regular season numbers due last year at Denver. He played all 82 games, starting almost 30% of the season when Murray was out injured. 10ppg/4apg/2rpg were the season average.

Nothing against McCain, but not drafting Dalton was a huge idiotic move by Morey. Morey does some nice things but he never can totally get out of his own way.

Morey is not depending on Embiid to perform in the playoffs. He has created a track meet of role players that can run with Maxey just in case Joel runs out of gas. They are transitioning this team to be Maxey's team just in case Joel quits or gets hurt.

I disagree! With us having a better team, the regular season won’t be as hard on Embiid now. I think a healthy embiid will average 25, 10 boards and less minutes. The more talent we have, the less pressure is on him during the season. Our roster is setup to support his health! Now are fingers are crossed! We can’t win without him, point blank period!

Yes, a top rebounder is still very important in today's league. Even in the Summer league, the Sixers were being out rebounded. Size is a problem for hte Sixers and we don't have much hustlers and tough dawgs.

This means McCain is going sit on the bench and learn this season. It is a team that's built to go all in this year, and a rookie guard isnt going to get serious minutes. Reggie got impactful minutes in Denver and did a good job. My issue with the backcourt is how small they are. Now go get Precious Achuiwa Morey, he's a very good rebounder. Its not going to matter how many ballhandlers you have if you don't get the ball off the glass. This is one of Morey's weaknesses, getting all these small players to play forward and guard.

So this is the Sixers response to lack of rebounding and front court presence? Jackson is just not a fit. He needs the ball to be effective. Hard to play him with Maxey because defensively, they will get punished. Who's the starting two guard? Oubre? I hope Gordon is not the starting 2. Who's starting in the front court with Embiid and PG? Martin? The Sixers need a power forward. They need 2 at least. There are PF's that can shoot and rebound. Rebounding is the reason they lost to the Knicks. 6'4 Josh Hart averaged 15 rbs per game...
They aren’t going to just go for players that can rebound but not play ball. You can’t have it all
@@ItzzShazey it's not just about rebounding and there are some that were available. Granted, we don't know if those players turned down Philly. It's also fit. 3 undersized combo guards coming off the bench is not exactly ideal. PG, Oubre, and the Martin's (if KJ is not traded) will be guarding those players and also will need to contribute to rebounding. It may work..

Embiid is often too slow in transition defends and someone with good rim protection with athletic would be perfect.
The fact that Embiid is not always there with his head when rebounding and loses some duels also speaks for a 4.
Embiid also doesn't like to put screens, which another power forward could do well.

I think the Sixers are matching up against the Celtics. No real centers & a bunch of combo players over 6’5”. Porzingis & Horford aren’t centers IMO. They are PFs 0:35 and so is Embiid. Although some of these guys are 7’, they are not playing like traditional centers. They are playing like PF and the “PF” have become 3 and D specialists. This is the new NBA. I think the Sixers are still going to trade for someone like DFS at the deadline to play the stretch 4. I think Jackson is security if McCain isn’t ready or Lowry’s wheels start falling off. I would have much preferred a Kennard or Tyus Jones but I guess the money might be an issue. Jackson is just one of those typical Morey guys. He was good like 3-4 years ago, he has a recognizable name, but who know what you’ll get now. I think it’s a waste. Just when I think the Sixers have a plan they make a move like this. 🤷🏻♂️

would like this signing. jackson is a spark plug, high energy guy with a ton of grit and attitude. got a good handle, good playmaker, and seen him light it up several times. the moment he signs, we're better. can't wait to kick boston's f*ing a**. regarding Arenas, like melo said underneath, he's always been a tool at different levels. sometimes he's a fun tool, like a bottle opener, and others, he a +2 hammer of profound stupidity. no surprises.
