  • Memories of a Mountain Shortline - A History of the Tallulah Falls Railroad
This short 6-minute sample clip is from the almost one-hour long video documentary covering the history of the Tallulah Falls Railway. Perhaps one of the most beloved, but trecherous rail lines in the US, the TF operated for over 50 years between the towns of Corneila, GA and Franklin, NC. The TF Railway serviced the once booming resort town of Tallulah Falls, known by many during its hayday in the early 1900s as the "Niagara of the South". The full version of this video will premier at Rabun Gap Nacoochee School on November 14, 2015. Admission is free. The documentary will also be available on DVD at numerous retail outlets in Northeast Georgia. This video is dedicated to two great Georgia railroad historians, the late Dess Oliver and the late Rutherford Ellis.
