Would love to visit most of these attractions but I imagine most of them would be really far apart from each other. Any advice on how to plan a trip? In terms of best way to travel around the state? (I would be coming from the UK)

Texas is a BIG state and and it takes time to get places. Best way to get around, in my opinion, is by car. I live in TX on the border with Mexico and my daughter and I just got back from a two day escape to visit a couple of state parks (nice) and small towns. Round trip was about 700 miles. I'm guessing you will be coming in the summer time, so be prepared for the heat.

I think renting a car in San Antonio would be your best bet. You have the River Walk, Alamo, and Tower of America all within walking distance of one another, along with Six Flags, Sea World, a great Zoo, the Witte Museum and a whole lot of Tex-Mex.
But most importantly you are a couple hours drive from the beach, an hour and a half drive from Austin, a three hour drive from the Houston Space Center, and a great feel of the old west just an hour west in a town called Bandera, that expands into miles and miles of a scenic drive through the Hill Country (including great parks like Garner State Park, Lost Maple State Park, Hamilton Pool, and Enchanted Rock). Oh, and on the drive up to Austin there is an amazing cave system called Natural Bridge Caverns and some fantastic bbq at The Salt Lick in Driftwood. Lastly, about a 5 hour drive west of hill country is Big Bend National park.
NOTE: San Antonio is probably too far away to drive up to Pablo Duro Canyon or the Fort Worth/Dallas area.

This is one of the better tourism videos for Texas that I've seen, but you could have gotten better shots of the Chisos Mountains. So for instance, you could have made number 4 "the Rio Grande" which could have included Santa Elena Canyon, the Chisos & Franklin Mountains, and a number of old west ghost towns like Terlingua, and Texas border towns near El Paso. Good video though!

@@askikr79 there was only 9 Texans in the Alamo when it fell... as I said it was a mixture, I've been there 3 times and did a little research on who was in there, and because I'm English I'm proud to say there were 13 English fighting for Texas
