Brianna I have that dress and others with a similar cut and they are used for everything. I don't know what it's like where you live but no one here is going to look at you strangely for it, it's not a scandalous dress in any way. To work, for a family meal, to go shopping, to go to dinner... depending on the shoes, bag and coat it works perfectly. You don't always have to wear jeans, dresses and skirts should be able to fit into our daily lives among other things because of how comfortable they are.

Lovely outfits! Thank you for such a comprehensive look at what to wear in Paris. I love your straw bag, but in Paris it is an “open” invitation to thieves. Perhaps taking a very large nylon zip cosmetic bag or packing cube, tacking it securely inside your bag, would be a good idea. You could maybe deter some pickpockets this way. 😊

Great video Brianna! I'm sure that I must be much older than you & most of your viewers. Yet these outfits are lovely, classic, so women of any age could wear them. Ditto for body type. My only caveat would be skirt length. I'd substitute minis for knee length. I moved to Occitanie a couple of months ago & I can say that you're right on about sneakers. I moved from Greenville, SC where I lived on & off, but I'm a native Californian. I lived in Paris from 1993-1996 & never got over it! LOL My goal is to spend time in Paris once a year. I love Beziers though! It's an ancient & muti-cultural city. I still can't believe that there's a bus steps from my apart whereby I can go directly to the beach. Heaven! Not to mention that the city is surrounded by wineries & we have the Canal du Midi. Plus the Medieval architecture is eye-popping. I could go on & and on. love this video bri! i was wondering if you have any suggestions for french fashion influencers to follow who have curvier body types? i find that the traditional "french girl style" seems to focus on tall, thin women so some of the suggested styles (menswear blazers, high neck blouses, etc) don't really work on hourglass, shorter body types

In 1018 I went to Belgium for holidays during summer. It was extremely warm and ALL the women there were wearing beautiful summer dresses with white trainers and there I was walking around with my sandals and slingbacks 🥴. Since then, I always pack a pair of tennis shoes 😊

That’s so beautiful! I would love to have gone to Belgium in the summer. The Rouje dresses that I have are great quality, but I do you think they’re a couple of years old. I haven’t ordered from them in several years so I can’t vouch for the quality now. I have heard that they changed a little bit so be aware of that are you looking at getting a Rouje dress?
@@BriLamberson I've been eyeing them for some years, but they are expensive and mostly made from viscose, so I have never ordered. I've heard very conflicting reviews about the quality, though that is to be expected, it is the same with every brand I think. Their summer dresses look very cute
Yeah I’m not the biggest fan of them any longer but if you really love the look it’s definitely worth it to get it. As always, I love these cute, practical outfits! The challenge for me was the fluctuating temperatures. It was cold when we were walking, but then it would get very hot on the Metro or in museums. Next time I would probably wear fewer layers under my trench and a lighter scarf! I do hope there is a next time!

Oh such beautiful outfits ❤ I would LOVE to go back to Paris. It’s so true about the shoes. You pretty much walk everywhere. You didn’t see sneakers when I went (almost 30 years ago) so that’s a nice option. I wore low heel boots. By the end of the trip almost two weeks the sole fell off 😂 make sure your shoes are up to the task. I ended up buying a pair of boots in Montmartre. I wore them out when I came back home

Hello lovely Brianna, amazing video and presentation, thank you. If I may just make a couple of suggestions: the ankle boots don't look good with the dress, the espadrilles were much chicer and elongated your legs. I don't see any half-tucks anymore, I think it's classier to tuck a shirt/sweater/blouse in completely. You need a scarf if weather turns, a long one you can wrap around your neck and this can be a great way to accessorise too. I love denim shirts too, I buy mine from Zara, I prefer a classic style without puffy sleeves, personally I don't like experimenting with trendy designs when it comes to denim shirts and jackets and jeans too, I stick to the classic cuts that will last forever

I would pack seaters! It was so much cooler than I anticipated. Luckily I brought a cashmere sweater and it helped so much.

I think those items would work well. I’m sure you’re already planning to do this, but check the weather a few days before you go and have a few items that could be flexible either way. I haven’t been to Paris in October, but I’d imagine the weather to be trending towards cooler crispier temps with a little bit more rain, but just like any climate, the weather can throw us all for a loop.

I think lightweight, crush proof and folds up in a carry-on suitcase Kon Mari style are musts for travel outfits. Heavy and bulky items like heeled boots, structured leather handbags, big straw baskets, will not be practical.
Absolutely pack what feels the best for you! Great tips. I brought my boots and basket bag last time in one carry on and it worked out great for me. But I’m a light traveler.
Those are beautiful clothes, but since I live here in France, if you’re planning on a trip in the next couple of weeks to France, do not wear anything longsleeved

It’s hard to motivate as a stay at home mom who is not getting dressed to go into an office. However, I feel so much better about myself, about life when I dress in a nice outfit.

If either of those are practical to wear, jeans and t-shirt are literally the best!
