About the build: It can take so many hits from the front not only because of the bumpers (I used bumpers that were not that tanky), but because of all those cast parts. They have 15% bullet resistance and are great at stopping cannons, mgs and scorps because of that. About that I can only recommend Cardboardninjas video about that.
And it is not made for the shape of the Steppe Spider, it has different contact points. That's why everything is hanging on this frame.
The build is on the exhibiton under the name "Teno Cricket". Blame one of my viewers for that name.
I dig the design, altho I think there's a fix to the frame vulnerability. I like to use those Dawn Children pass-thru bumpers (the 2 u have on the front) & hang them off the side of the frame, upside-down, usually between some hovers for a more compact look. I then mount the ammo boxes behind those bumpers. It might sound like a vulnerability, but the fact that frames have no weld points underneath means that the ammo box will simply fall off when the bumper breaks. You'd then have plenty of space under the cabin for the larger frames.
@@machina3182 thank you for the idea. The original build with the Catalina did not have this vulnerability. It was JB who just swapped out the cabin

Fused some crickets recently, going to try a ground build like this.
It astounds me just how far crickets have come in xo. From dirt cheap scrap heaps to dirt cheap tank destroyers
They used to be insane for CWs but they got heavily nerfed because they outperformed relics.

@@JBRider 80% damage increase per each 100 metres distance for the Crickets combined with increased accuracy and missile speed with a damage reduction of 20%. I think I can live with that remaining 60%! Now lets smash that Piggy Bank!

Out of curiosity, is the performance of hovers affected in anyway depending on if they're mounted east/west or north/south?
all movement parts function the same no matter their orientation 👍🙏
i sont have this cabin, yet anyways. but i just started crafting 3 crickets. i sold mine awhile back for cheap when i needed the coin.
wish i got 3 fused when they were going for like 200 coin.
my only problem is the very low HP. and you can armor them great but the front of them will always be exposed. that goes for all weapons.
but im hoping theyre good unfused. if so i will get them fused
i have the harpy cabin. maybe torrero would work idk. or maybe a heavy cab.
but the other rockets are almost useless in my opinion. maybe its just be but wasp i can never get to work. pyralid is ok but meh, the other purple rocket tho idk the name but i want to try sometime
Great video buddy, and crickets are good again, I have been using just recently hadron, reload module, 2 crickets adapter and cloak, the reload speed of the cricket's is insane, with attitlan driver, you should give it a go
Basically the crickets perk over powers the negative effect of the spider cabin
After hearing your thoughts on the Step-Spider Cabin, it might be a great idea to do a video series in search of the best weapon to use with this cabin.
It's crickets. They are the ones that benefit the most from the improvement to accuracy as they are so spread out. They also benefit the most from the Atitlan co-driver due to the fire rate boost essentially lessens the time taken to shoot off a full burst.
PSA a build is only strong as it's movement parts! Mobility kills do win matches.
With spider cabin rocket fly faster so they dont have time for dumn manouvers

i have idea kronos and astraeus just near body infinity healing can create infinity full charge dmg
As an Astraeus main I can tell you that I never have trouble with loosing the Astraeus to self damage if you mount them on good passthrough parts or frames. But it would still be worth a try, to leave the ps low. Passthrough parts have high ps usage.
Maybe that is worth a try. Let me build one and give it to JB :)

@@gonozal8_962I know but I think it is not really useful. You don't have games that are long enough to lose your passthrough parts without having them get shot off

JB, Steppe Spider rockets aren’t good due to simple math. The -20% damage equates to 60%, meaning if you run 3 Crickets, you’re doing the damage of 2.4 crickets. Meanwhile, running Catalina with full perk equals to running 4.98 crickets, nearly 5. The speed simple doesn’t make up for the loss in damage.
the accuracy does though
with double the spread (either 2x the area or 2x the dispersion-> 4x the area), half or less of catalinas missiles hit, also making it harder to get thaz perk aswell
Trick is to mount them vertically, not horizontal.
