I liked the teamwork element in that game! It makes Tails seem helpful and useful again, well at least not stuck somewhere inventing stuff.

That double spin dash move seems pretty cool. They should bring that back. Also I kinda wish we could get a 2D Sonic where you can swap/tag between characters. I know it's a thing in Mania but it could be expanded on and have character specific moves depending on the character pairings maybe. Also I'd imagine for tagging whilst running it could be like backflip high five on the way over animation or something, to give it abit of personality you know, and to keep it seamless without stopping.
