  • A quick video of a few clips I took of different modes in my Charger. I replaced the mid-mufflers with Vibrant 1794s. Stock everything else.
    There is zero drone at any RPM and zero rasp which was my biggest fear. The delete and the mini bullets have that rasp you can hear if you listen closely. This is just a deep throaty rumble.
    You can pick up the Vibrant 1794s here: amzn.to/2QeiKiL

    Can you replace these with the stock back resonators while leaving my mid mufflers deleted to keep the loud sound but get rid of raspy sound?

    • @DextarRogue
      @DextarRogue  Před 3 lety +1

      I mean you could but it's not going to get rid of the rasp. The only way to fix that would be either put mufflers back on or put these in where the straight pipe is. Keep in mind, this is a resonator and not a muffler. It will lower the volume over a straight pipe just due to the holes and fiberglass in it but they are still fairly loud. Resonators change the tone/sound while mufflers lower the volume of the exhaust.
      I've got a buddy who travels for work and he's had everything, delete, bullets, flowmasters, and vibrants. He actually just put vibrants on his new 21 widebody 392. He wanted them louder on his challenger but on the charger he loves them. We're not sure if that's just the way the exhaust is designed on the challenger or what but he said they are louder on his charger.

      @DextarRogue  Před 4 lety

      I'm not sure, do you know the exhaust diameter? You might need the 1792s if you only have 2.5" exhaust.

  • @vancegeraci4726
    @vancegeraci4726 Před 2 lety

    I have a charger rt but the exhaust is only 2.5”. Do you happen to know if the vibrant 1792 is different sounding? Or is the input and output just smaller? I absolutely love this sound and want to make sure I’ll be getting what I’m hearing.

    • @DextarRogue
      @DextarRogue  Před 2 lety +1

      Hey Vance, from what I've heard that's the setup that most RT people use when they want the Vibrants. I think all RTs 2018+ have a 2.75" exhaust like the Scats and Hellcats FYI. Not sure what model year yours is.
      Keep in mind, you'll want to contact the exhaust shop you use and verify if they have any 304 stainless steel pipe that they will use to connect them. You don't want the aluminized garbage most shops will want to put on there. You can pick up a 4' pipe from Jegs pretty cheap. If you're going to do it, do it right.

      @vancegeraci4726 Před 2 lety

      @@DextarRogue Ok sweet. So I also don’t have resonators so I’m looking to straight pipe with the addition of the 1792s. How loud would this be in comparison to your ride? Thank you for the input. I may just get 3” piping.

    • @DextarRogue
      @DextarRogue  Před 2 lety +1

      @@vancegeraci4726 Well keep in mind the 392 is naturally going to be louder. I wouldn't have personally removed the resonators but that's just me. Mine is pretty loud, videos don't do it justice but I didn't do it for volume, I did all of mine for the tone of the exhaust. Exhaust addicts has some videos with the 5.7 and different exhaust setups, I'd recommend checking them out. You might find something you like on their page.
      If you've got the money, I'd suggest looking at one of the full kits from Carven Exhaust. It's REALLY nice.

      It's quieter than a delete or a mini bullet setup but there is no rasp. It's loud enough that it got the attention of a cop the other day. If you don't drive in track mode or have an active exhaust delete kit you might find it too quiet compared to what you have. I love it, plenty loud from the outside, just right inside.

      Not really, I got it done shortly after pulling it out of storage for the winter so it already feels much better than my winter beater. Responsiveness is the same but I drive in track mode almost always and it's ready to go at a moments notice.
      As for the ECO mode, I couldn't tell you. I hate the way it sounds when MDS kicks on so I avoid it at all costs (car starts in track mode with the Tazer) and on the highway I keep it in track and cruise in 8th.
