Thank you so much for this!! I needed this as I just learned Showit a few weeks ago and love it's design capabilities, but learning this part is SUPER important. GREAT VIDEO!
I would love a tutorial on making a home page blog template!

I learned so much from this video!!
I'm so glad! Really appreciate the kind words.
Thank you for this information! How do you move the order of the word content in each section without making the site look weird?
You may not be able to arrange everything how you like from an SEO stand point. I try to do the best I can without impacting the design. Some page elements may need to go at the bottom to keep the look of the site the same and that's okay :)
Do I need to use hyphens in meta regs and descriptions too?
Just in file names :)
I made my home page a blog template but since the Wordpress is technically blank, my plugin isn’t registering that page 😅
Ahh You just need to create a homepage in Wordpress and go into your Showit settings in Wordpress to display that page properly. Let me know if you'd like to see a video tutorial on this specifically. :)
When I went in to try to implement the update the order of the elements step…..all of my text on the page got super wonky and messed up.
Do you know why that would be? ( BTW my home page is not a blog template as you suggest, I don’t know how to switch that….my show it website was designed for me from a template that I purchased, but I have to log into WordPress separately to add to my blogs.)
Great question! This tip only works if it doesn't impact the order of elements in your design from back to front. You have to make sure that your furthest back elements are still below the other elements in that canvas. Do your best to re-order the rest of your elements keeping this in mind.
I'm having a similar problem. My Title and Sub Title are on shapes on the canvas. When I drag the title and subtitle down to be at the bottom of the list, it changes the stacking order and then the shape is on top. How do we combat this situration? I hope this makes sense. :)
Is there a video on making your homepage as a blog ?
This is a great question! I will add this to my list of video tutorials to create next.
