In US news and current events today, the Discovery Center of Springfield, Missouri has transformed into an emergency childcare center for children of essential workers and frontline workers. Normally, the Discovery Center of Springfield, MO is a sprawling interactive museum where kids can learn through play about the world around them.
However, in the face of the COVID-19 pandemic, the museum was forced to shut its doors to the public and rethink its mission for enriching kids live. To that end, as the Coronavirus outbreak escalated, the Discover Center museum transformed into a massive daycare for the children of healthcare workers, frontline workers, and other workers as essential businesses.
