  • I helped my brother, Hank, and his crew as we worked to save an old smoke house from a massive pecan tree threatening to crush it. The location is our Uncle Tom's old homestead. The Stihl pole saw was very handy. Hank wanted to test it for the first time and give it a review.

    I’ve got a couple of Stihl saws and won’t be getting another gasoline powered one. The last tank of fuel for the season I use the $20 a gallon premix, run till dry and put it up. Following spring, it refuses to start.
    Don’t know if you’re sponsored, but I purchased the Milwaukee Quick Lok system and their pole saw. It doesn’t flex like the Stihl did and appears to cut faster. It doesn’t have the length adjustment on the fly, but with the powerhead, pole saw and extension is as long. The plus is no fuel, and the powerhead can be used by the string trimmer, hedge trimmer or edger.
    Good luck with your purchase.

My sister has one and she was telling me about a pole Saul and I said well I have a long pole saw that has a like a blade on the end she says no no this is. This is a gas operated so you can do electric or gas. I’d rather do the gas. Great video very helpful.❤

    How well does it balance? I need to get up on a 10 foot step ladder and top out a tree. So I need a pole saw that I can hold out horizontally and cut several 2 inch branches that are growing vertically. Will this saw balance well for that?

    • @carolinahillcountry
      @carolinahillcountry  Před rokem

      This saw would definitely handle that job in my opinion. Balance on a ladder is aways a tricky thing of course. This is my brother's pole saw so I can ask him if it came with a shoulder strap. I did another video on a Kobalt battery powered pole saw that also works great, especially for a home owner type job. It definitely came with a shoulder strap that helps to balance it out.
