I try not to worry about it too much, because then I just get so slowed down, but I think a consistent fantasy world is so much more important than a deeply intricate and complicated world. Def pick up Starling House asap if you can!! It's so good!
Have you heard about the Sacred Stones Trilogy? I really like the first one A Dawn of Onyx ♥The sequel book will be released in April and i can't wait to read it :))
I think I'm with you on the worldbuilding - it's important for the author to do some robust worldbuilding and understand how the world functions but that doesn't all need to be on the page for readers and definitely doesn't need to be the focus of the story.
Yeah, I feel like some fantasy authors think that every little piece of world building they come up with needs to be included. But to me world building’s purpose is to keep the author consistent and help bolster the narrative, not overtake the narrative and creative voice. But it can be hard finding that balance 😅 I just need enough world building for a book to feel immersive.

For an easy romantasy, i recommend The Ever King and Sparks of the Everflame. These books are quite hyped or popular… yet.. but so good!!❤❤
