Hey why did the play brig on attack midtown? I’m trying to learn
I'm not a Brig main or some sweat lord, but I think it's because Tracer and Bap are popular picks for the map. so you prevent enemy Tracer from getting to your own Bap/Backline in general while also being able to enable your own Tracer at times.
Brig can also easily challenge and disrupt Tanks like Sig/Orisa because of how linear and close quarters Midtown is.
Tracer and Bap are popular most likely due the same reason of close quarters and linear map design, your lines of sight are easy and being able to work corners is great for Bap, AND Tracer can zoom around with a fair amount of cover and can easily jump squishies with such little space to manoeuvre themselves.
