Don't fight in front of the kids... If things got worse, they will be traumatized. If things get better, that's good. If it's not, the kids might ended up feeling stress and depress. Kids growing up with depression deserves better.
@vandette91 No. Parent must argue infront of their kids but not too much like in the video. Kids can learn a lot from watching their parent argue, if the kid is not expose to this sort of things then the kid wouldnt know that argument in a relationship is normal. A healthy relationship need arguement from time to time. (not physical or too frequent)

moral lesson of the story: don't let your work control your life. spare quality time with your family and self. Your boss will use and abuse you when you always say yes.
Sigh my dad is like this, constantly working and getting mad at me when I accidentally come in his work. It’s worse cuz he’s my only parent so we have no family time together since he is always working and always gets mad at me when I’m around him working.
That's true. I make sure my work and personal SNS accounts are separate. Whether or not they include you on your projects later, who gives a damn. Weekends are for myself you know. 😂
I love the contrast between what seemed perfect at first but was a not so perfect in reality. Also, the child is a great actor. Everything he did felt real and genuine. Having said that, maybe the mother snapping was a bit excessive. The father has excellent patience to keep using a soft tone and not yell at her when she keeps blaming things on him. He’s just trying to make money, do a good job to support this family. I get that with his work distracting him, the special day out isn’t so special anymore. Maybe if I got some sign that the mother also made money to support the family and also made some work sacrifices to have a nice Christmas with the family, her attitude would be more justified. Here, I just get the impression she is a housewife. Anyway, I really liked this short. The music and soft gentle tone of the film vibe really suited the story. The camera closeups to panning out was done really well and I liked how it teaches us to care about what matters most and that what seems perfect may not be reality. The child really tied things together and I feel like he made the short come to life.

being a housewife isn't easy, its a full time job too. she probably works as a housewife by taking care of her son, cleaning the house and cooking for the family.

It was so heartwarming! I really love how they show us what is the real meaning of Christmas in a very short story but dig deep within our hearts.
I already started crying when they found him with Santa, my parents right now are working a lot and fighting too and they are so busy the had to leave me for 4 days with my grandma in a hotel. This video is so meaningful to me and it’s really sweet.

he really love his son. he only dont have time. i remember how hard my father to run to our school event, and most of time he missed it. now, when i am growing up, working. i feel like it also hard to ignore your work, your responsibility to your job. I realized everyone is struggle to cope with job & family together at time. i am really proud of u father, parents and anyone out there who struggle to catch up with everything around u guys. please be healthy and you guys are doing just fine
Mannnnnnnnnnn best video of the year! Really speaks about the reality that some families go through and even my own to speak of. Parents are both working and barely had time for me when I was a kid and as a scapegoat, they would take me shopping. I acted that I liked the toys they bought me but when I moved out of my home country for overseas, I ended up donating all of them. So thank you very much for this video!

What a good story! At this age, it is certainly not easy to juggle between work stress and needing to care and spend time with your loved ones. We really need to constantly step back, look at the bigger picture and relax more. Reading the comments of other subscribers really helps in showing how true and often such scenarios happen in many families and how it affect their childhood. This is definitely a good reminder to me and I will definitely share this with my husband. Thank you so much!

This movie is soo damn good,but i wish my parents will let me celebrate chirstmas and go to sunway :P
The story would have more depth if it taken for a middle class or low income family. Father tied up with works trying his best to bring the best Christmas, mother doing part time trying the fill the holes needed in the family and both husband and wife always fighting over small issues because of stress and lastly son always left attended or alone. Driving their old 660cc kancil to Sunway Pyramid to spend time together and getting present for their son "while trying to spend the most minimum on toys" and of course adding the husband and wife argument. Son told Santa he doesn't want Christmas because seeing his parent struggling everyday and all he wants is having them around is more than everything else. Jinnyboy - I see most of your story shooting with luxury lifestyle whereby over 80% Malaysian aren't that rich. BTW... Great video and happy holidays!

This video reminds me that no matter what... the biggest victim is the son, child. their innocents. Sometimes parents show some unwanted behaviour and the child is the victim of it all because what the child wants is simple things and not things to satisfy him. All he wanted was their parents to stop arguing. Not the toys or clothes. It's always sad how we don't see how they see the world. i want to go back but time moves on. This is a Great Film. Thanks @JinnyboyTV. Love the story line.

i definitely agree. there is no "perfect Family". what is the definition of a perfect family? How do we define perfect? the Shows that we watch or the lifestyle magazines? there is no perfect family because perfect is how you see it. how you and i see it personally. a family without a grandfather can also be perfect. My grandma and Grandpa seperated a long time ago. but i still see me family as perfect. the fun and good things that happened to my family is just perfect to me . Perfection is from within ourselves. we view what is perfect or not. don't let other perfection that you see cloud your own judgement of perfection because we see the perfect family from other ppl's definition of perfect. cheers m8 have a good one.

same as situation with me between my husband. before I always fighting with him bcoz everytime we going out or we go travel he always keep busy bcoz of work. but he explain to me I very busy I very care my job its bcoz of us. bcoz of our family. I am not always young . we become old how our family if when the time I young I no working hard. we need to think about our future. now a days its hard to find a nice job. dont think I no care you all. dont think I very love my job than I love my family. instead I more love you and our kids thats why I do this. this what I did is bcoz for all of us. I want to retire early to spend time with you. for this moment just let me do hardwork and always understand me. I dont want my children suffer or poor bcoz of my fault. I dont like I die very poor. how my wife how my children how you survive with kids?. after he tell me what his feeling I realize my husband is right. I need to appreciate him bcoz not every man can do what he can do for his family. so now, I understand and I always support him.
