Easiest way to 1100 lives in New Super Mario Bros. 2

This is the easiest way to 1100 lives in NSMB2, in my opinion. This is in world Star-1. This is a level after finishing the story.
First, jump on a koopa only once, so it won't slide away, then you need to break the blocks as I have in the video.
Second, wait for the koopa at the bottom. While it is in the middle "step," jump.
It is hard, since it will either work, or slide and hurt you. This was my third try.
