    I keep telling my husband that i want something tiny like this built out in the middle of our woods. I'd stay in it all of hunting season. ❤ better than freezing like I do now and I could make coffee whenever I wanted. This place is adorable.

    This is beautiful in its simplicity, love the stones used as steps for the deck & hot tub. Also love the wood burning hot tub, matching the color of the cabin too! Two small comfy chairs inside would add the perfect touch as would not taking out my trash. As the previous commenter wrote, that's what the cleaning fee is for. But this is one of the cutest you've shown. Many thanks😊

    Nice cabin. Would be nice to have a small seating area inside but this totally works with the large outdoor cooking area. I think it's very reasonable to request to take out the trash bag, especially in a place like Texas where ants would get in and the smell could make it unbearable for the next guest.

    Why aren't chairs provided for the fold down table?

    • @weatherwitchandfelinefamiliars
      @weatherwitchandfelinefamiliars Před 8 měsíci +2

      That was my thought too. It's for two guests so doesn't make sense. There's tonnes of ingenious designs for tiny houses and I immediately thought the same as soon as I saw it. There's chairs that fold into walls, or within each other, or modern stools like Russian doll vases that stash inside each other. You could use one getting dressed, making coffee or by the bathroom. Definitely missing a trick there 😔

    • @Jen.O
      @Jen.O Před 8 měsíci +1

      if the table was put where the mirror is, and set at countertop height, it would be more useful with meal prep, plus eating standing up (not bending over as the current table requires) For now, resin indoor/outdoor chairs from some up and coming design studio could be used with that table.

    • @robinhollenbeck367
      @robinhollenbeck367 Před 8 měsíci +1

      Why sketchy? Is it because it is wood fired? These heat up fast, especially when the outside temperature is so warm that the water is already at 80°F.

    • @Originalman144

      I think it's ridiculous to complain about having to take the trash bag out. This is clearly for sanitary and bug reasons. Ant and smelly trash might have to sit a day or two between cleanings. Why is it so hard for people to do something so simple that makes a big difference?

    • @JordanElizabethLee
      @JordanElizabethLee Před 8 měsíci

      @@Originalman144 I understand your thoughts here and can agree with your point on some level. However, on the flip side as someone who loves to travel, is a backpacker, and has worked in the service industry for far too many years, it's about the value proposition of Airbnb's. I use them and I book them, I also love hotels and bed and breakfasts. But an Airbnb, unless it offers something unique or has other service offerings, should not cost the same as a hotel. I think the issue David is trying to make above, is that most Airbnb's try to charge hotel rates and then still add "cleaning fees" - where as a typical hotel (not always) does not and has a flat rate, with regular standard cleanings included. If I am paying a fee that specifies "cleaning" i should not have to clean. Sure, as an Airbnb owner there are instances when you cannot clean the unit, but the owner of the Airbnb should have considered that. Just like it is the consumer's responsibility to read the fine print and take out the trash if they want to book that location, and it specifies to do so. Passing that on to the consumer/client and still charge a cleaning fee along with standard rates that are only mildly competitive (depending on general area) is not ideal, and would bother me as well.
      Don't get me wrong, people should be tidy and respectful and good. Taking out your trash is simple and easy and everyone should do it in general. But I have had Airbnb's give me step by step lengthy directions for laundry and other odd things, so i think that it is the value that is the issue, not lack of human respect. This is just my opinion, however, I am not trying to be rude.

      It depends on the place, layout..... my wife and I rented a cabin and the owner wanted us to put trash in our Audi and drive it the mile to his farm! Nope 👎🏼

      It's simple responsible behaviour to take it out 🤷🏻‍♀️ Sometimes it can stink and a place reeks of it for days, or attract insects or vermin, it's just simple courtesy to take it out. In the same way I'd rinse the bath or shower out after use. It's good manners 😊

    IMHO a wealthy and private gated community, and so much land really defeats the practical purpose of having a tiny house.
    If a tiny house is going to occupy the same amount of land that a mansion would, for only a few people, then it does nothing to help with the ever decreasing availability of resources on our planet.
