- What made Jango Fett the ideal genetic template for a clone army?
Jango was adopted as a foundling by Mandalorian warriors after the death of his parents and raised on Concord Dawn.
In legends he led the Mandalorians in the Mandalorian Civil War as the Mandalore, 22 years before the Battle of Geonosis. His fame soared during a conflict with the Death Watch and Jedi where he killed 6 jedi with his bare hands.
Following the conclusion of that conflict, Fett quickly established a reputation as one of the best bounty hunters in the galaxy, working with Zam Wesell on several occasions. The calm and calculated assassin would also mentor the Duros Bounty Hunter Cad Bane.
Eventually his notoriety drew the eyes of Count Dooku who admired his skills and discretion as seen when he terminated Wesell when she was captured by Obi-Wan & Anakin
In addition to his 20 million credit fee, Jango received an unaltered clone son named Boba and he oversaw the training of the first 100 Alpha Class ARC Troopers according to legends.
Despite his legendary resume he was helpless against an advancing Jedi Master Mace Windu who blocked the shots ringing from his Westar-34 pistol and decapitated the Bounty Hunter as a horrified Boba looked on. - Zábava

Another thing that led to his death was his trust in his jet pack, as once Windu got too close he attempted to rocket away but was unable to because the reek had damaged it beforehand. This is something that is explained by George Lucas and also something I personally interesting. Keep up the great work on the videos!

Another thing was that he lost his other WESTAR-34 blaster to Kenobi while they were fighting on Kamino. Jango was still very dangerous with one, but he was incredibly lethal with both of them. There’s no way that Mace would’ve been able to charge at Jango if Jango was firing both of them at him. The WESTAR-34’s were some of the most powerful blasters in the Galaxy, and Jango had them custom made. Taking one of Jango’s blasters away is like taking one of Ahsoka’s lightsabers away. They’re still great, but definitely not as powerful.

He wasn't really a foundling. The Fett clan had been Mandalorian for millenia. His ancestor, Cassus Fett, was one of Mand'alor the Destroyer's top lieutenants during the Mandalorian Wars and was, ironically, responsible for the rise of Revan.
Destroyer? Or Ultimate? And I also like Jangos legends backstory more tbh. Idk why new canon won’t leave him and his roots alone, same for boba.

At one point the clan broke away because we know from the mandolarian show that jango was a foundling and was raised by other Mando's the. Went on to fight in the civil wars like in the comics
@@extremedeerbruh2455 the Fett clan got wiped during the Civil War with Death Watch. Usually, only the warriors go off to fight, but here, the fight also came to them, so everyone got hit. Jango was the sole survivor who was then adopted by the Mand'alor.

I agree. He was a beast, but we sadly didn't get to see a lot of him in the films, and then he died. Just like that. Kinda dumb how little he even tried, but ah well. Anyway, he's always been my favourite.
I agree. I like that they made him ballsy enough to do what Mandalorians do, which is profit off of killing and capturing other people. I like Mando but I feel like they made him too much of a hero for a Mandolorian.

Bounty hunting is like a crime syndicate. Its common for people in the hood to know eachother and know ranks. But outside that neighborhood no one knows that person. I figure Jango was the same deal.

You are missing an entire portion of Jango’s story, that is covered in lore plus Star Wars: Bounty Hunter video game. Dooku hired multiple bounty hunters for the same job to create a contest, the target: Komari Vosa ex-student of Dooku himself equipped with 2 curved hilt crimson sabers. Vosa was the leader of the Bando Gora, a coven/crime group dedicated on enslavement through mind altering drugs. She became a liability that Dooku needed dealt with, and he would be able to choose a perfect genetic template for his master’s plan (Palpatine) simultaneously. They needed a proven Jedi killer, one who could beat a force sensitive like Vosa. After Fett succeeded and won the contest, Dooku rewarded him with the bounty reward as well as an offer to be the clone genetic template. Jango agreed on one condition, an unaltered clone to raise as his son. You can watch a play through of “Star wars: Bounty Hunter” on CZcams, but I highly recommend playing it. Game is ahead of its time and is available as a remaster on PSN store for PlayStation owners.

Can you imagine if Fett was force sensitive and passed that to all the clones? I don't think it's dumb luck to defeat 6 Jedi bare handed. Even Sith's would have a hard time with that.
Cloning the force-sensitive part of force-sensitives is way beyond Kaminoan capability. We're seeing that now in Mando, Bad Batch, and the sequels.
Most Jedi were literally underskilled noobs when it came to real combat against skilled fighters. Hence why so many died to the droids in the geonosian arena.

In the game star wars bounty hunter, he killed a Rogue sith by Dooku request but also send the same to Jango rival Montross.

The animated version of the fight between django and mace would have been so much more satisfying
because his jet pack was damaged and he couldn't get away. He was trying to get the Highground.
Fun fact that I read, I believe it may have been the novel: Mace Windu used Battle Meditation while fighting Jango Fett, using it to make his decisions on how he'd approach the fight. And the way Jango died? That was the only way he saw himself winning. Every other choice led to Windu's death. Which, if true, is kind of incredible

This is why I love the prequel game...Jango going through all those "trials", tribulations, essentially all the s(BLANK)t and it was all basically an elaborate test / interview...
He became one of the most popular faces in the galaxy, and hardly anybody would have ever known who the real guy was.

I’m pretty sure those Jedi were lead by Count Dooku when he was still a Jedi, after the Jedi killed all of Jango’s comrades Jango proceeded to beat down and use tactics like throwing snow in their eyes which lead to him killing 6 Jedi before Dooku stopped and arrested him

His past is what gained him access to the great hunt. The reward for winning the great hunt was the credits, Boba, and the opportunity to become a template for the clone army.

Kills 6 jedi with bare hands...forgets that lightsabes deflect bullets but keeps shooting anyway despite having a multitude of other weapons on him.
It was part of the original concept art in the 70s and became popular character after Empire. This popularity led to lots of fan lore especially about the armor. So it’s not that Jango was a perfect fit, but rather the baddassery that came with wearing Mandalorian armor. Which is why the story didn’t have them clone Naboo royal guards. This is the way

Only reason he died was because his jetpack malfunctioned. He would've gotten away if not.

His death given his background is what makes it so infuriating. Jango killing 6 Jedi with his bare hands made him legendary, jet pack doesn’t work he gets decapitated so much as without even putting up a fight.

It’s funny how some people don’t like the prequel movies like as a kid I thought jango Fett was pretty cool, even though he only had like six minutes of screen time he was awesome that iconic helmet, jet pack and armor. People didn’t even really know what a Mandalorian was back then I just assumed it was Boba Fett’s armor, but then when he gets decapitated, it didn’t really make the character feel that special same thing with a Dooku and grievous in the mall but then when you watch the cartoons and read all the books or whatever it makes these characters more interesting
I do not like how easily Jango was decapitated. Especially from the Republic Commando series, Beskar is supposed to protect from lightsabers in situations exactly like that.
