OK, now I'll tell you about this rescue...
This was a weird one because we destroyed this living room a year ago and we were told that the landlord fixed the problem. Well, a year had gone by, a new tenant moved it, a new mama cat had given birth in the attic, and her kittens fell into the walls 😰

Loreta and I completed the first part of the rescue and thought we were done, but we asked the tenant to NOT fix the wall (yet) JUST IN CASE something changes. Well, a week later, something did change and another life was saved ❤️
While we were on this rescue, Katie McKittrick was on a different rescue, and the two stories come together in a beautiful way.
As you will see in the video, Nugget was already adopted, but Tessa and WALLdorf is still looking for a loving forever home. They are now fostered with our friends at Sierra Pacific Furbabies and you can apply to adopt them here: www.SierraPacificFurbabies.com
Nevaeh is resting in peace in heaven and watches her family from above. Her name is Heaven spelled backward. I'm so sad we were not able to save her 😿
Tomorrow I will post a dog rescue video where you will see Loreta sneak up on a dog like a ninja and accomplish a very challenging rescue.

She doesn't have much of a choice thb. But I'm sure she's a nice person.
Also she doesn't own the house her landlord does. So whoever they are, are obviously horrible to not fix the problem when there is one, but does fix the wall.
It’s better to make minor damage to get an animal out, than leave them until they pass away and rot. That is a smell you do NOT want in your insulation.
Yes! In a RENTAL! Can you imagine the fees if she has the landlord do the patching? It will be astronomical.

I think that’s preferable to allowing the animal to die and then smelling the decomposing body. They’d have to have the wall opened to retrieve the carcass, anyway.
No one else would name the little ones that don't make it to the end. You guys can't be beat. We need a mission to have an Eldad and Loretta in EVERY major city in the country!! I just rescued an orange tabby kitten about 7 weeks old who must've been separated from whoever during an extra violent storm, 140mph winds and sideways downpours! She was close enough, in the bushes, near my gas pump and I heard the cry. An hour later had her drinking and eating, close enough to SNATCH!!! We had her purring in 2 minutes, but she was absolutely terrified. My friend had been wanting a cat, it worked out purrfectly!!!!
Actually all animal rescues do that…

Is it possible to access the attic so that the hole can be covered where the kittens fell thru. Twice seems more than enough for one house.

Her paw prints are tattooed on your heart forever. I read somewhere that grief is love that has nowhere to go. Dote on and spoil your remaining seven. I’d love to spend a day just buried in kitties. Sounds like a wonderful way to nap.

I hope the home owner will close off all areas of places where the critters can get in. We had a young squirrel that fell between the wall from the attic. My son rescued it and released it. Haven't had anything getting into the attic in a long time now.
In the middle of a rescue mission myself. So far caught 14 and had them altered. More to go don’t know how many.

Who should have thought such a beautiful and kind lady would make holes in peoples walls LOL .Thank god for the kind people who let you do this. Or they could find the spot or spots where the kittens are accessing the inner walls and prevent it from happening in the first place. It's really a no brainer.

Maybe she can clear out that rubbish and put something that will cushion the fall, if it ever happens again. That dead kitty broke my heart. And maybe just install a removable panel that blend into the wall. So her wall doesn’t get destroyed again.

That house has a really peculiar construction, with such huge void spaces!
There's a school near us with the same odd design -- a huge empty space. It had an access area big enough for a small kid to crawl into (I know because I did, lol) so there was never any risk of a cat getting stuck there, but it's definitely a strange design.
Literally had me up to my screen looking for the kitten.
Thank you for saving them. My heart weeps for the baby that didn't make it. Please make sure the mama isn't already pregnant again before you fix her. Life is precious.

The one scene with the dog checking out the kitten at the vet brought back a memory of a lady I grew up beside who had the same dogs! Sadly the lady is no longer with us. :(

The tenants were fantastic in calling in HFP to get these 2 kittens rescued so didn’t end up like their sibling, poor thing. Now thanks to all involved 3 happy healthy little kittens get a chance at a good life.

Sometimes glad I live in Japan where if you hire someone to do a job, it's done properly. On the other hand there is no one to call to re-home or rescue animals, domestic or wild, so I envy the situation in other Western countries... Love this group! Well done!
