      Hi @@mg3554 , as we aren't talking about a simple 20$ product on Amazon, I don't feel to take any responsibility on advising you something it may not fit you, but glad to answer any question you would have.
      This was only our 4th cruise and all were done with MSC (we can reach Marseille or Genova by car), so I can't compare with other cruise lines. For us the ship was really amazing and never felt too crowded (even if the ship, looking at the numbers, was packed). There's so much to do and you simply try to avoid what the main stream does (trying to find a place near the swimming pool during the at sea day for example is mission impossible). But I read reviews that say completely the opposite, claiming it being constantly overcrowded, same ship and same dates! To me it's clear that for that price you can't expect to have the same experience as cruising with Seabourn, but I never felt it overcrowded, very small queues everywhere (we had much longer waiting times in other cruises).
      My kids are 9 and 12, a bit younger than yours, and they loved the ship (though the little one said the MSC Grandiosa had the Himalayan Bridge, which she was missing). They didn't join any kids club (they are divided by age range, till 17), but reviews are excellent , as MSC is really focusing on families.
      One tip I could give you, if interested in the ship, is to check for the Infinity View cabins, for a family of 4 it's simply perfect as the surface of the balcony is included in the cabin, making it "much" bigger and the view is amazing. We tried the inside cabin, the balcony and the Infinity View, the latter being absolutely the best (again, I'm talking about a family of 4).
      As a final comment, I was (half) kidding with my wife saying that the only bad point about our cruise is that it set the bar much higher.
      I hope this can help, but I strongly advise you to get other opinions too.

    Nice presentation. May I ask where did y’all embark and what’s the itinerary? I completed a cruise on Seashore this past June at port Genoa, and I was upgraded to MSC Diamond via status match. I’m booked on Icon of the seas and MSc Seascape in February 2024. Look forward to the experience. Thanks for sharing.

    A very well done video of the MSC World Europa. The ship is gorgeous Why can Royal build their ship that gorgeous to impress their guests I wonder. I have been looking for a really good video to know how this ship would be like since I'll sail on her this coming Dec for a Christmas cruise.
    Do you know if Hola open for lunch?
    I was a bit worry about the food in the main dining room because of so reviewers said that the food isn't good at all, but it seems like you really enjoy the food. Our last cruise on the odyssey, the food was a disappointment.
    Overall, would you recommend this ship and why?

    • @CruiseBlogGuide
      @CruiseBlogGuide  Před rokem

      Yes, Hola is open for lunch! I enjoyed the food overall and found it comparable to other mass market cruise lines. I would definitely recommend the ship; it was one of the most beautiful ships I've sailed on thus far.

    I have booked a christmas cruise on this ship for this year and just can't wait. What can you tell me about the drinks package ... my partner is teetotal but I like brandy .... a lot!!!! From the info I have seen spirits are restricted to just one shot per day ... do you know if this is correct? Loved your video by the way ... far better than the MSC official video!!!

    • @bridgetsmiththerapies4401
      @bridgetsmiththerapies4401 Před 9 měsíci

      One shot per day? I think most cocktails have more than that in them so wouldn't make any sense! The only restriction is the premium brands and that you present a cruise card per person per drink. Therefore one drink per person at any one time. As long as you're not drinking shots every 5mins you should be ok. They just want people to be sensible. You can get water or sodas as often as you wish. There are mocktails too and I'm sure a range of non alcoholic beers.

    This seems like the architects behind this ship were trying SO HARD to emulate the Oasis class ships on RCL without being accused of being a blatant rip-off! This ship looks nice but it IS pretty much a blatant copy of elements that Royal has been perfecting for well over a decade!

    I won’t get on an MSC cruise if you pay me. They simply suck. The food and the service. If you stay in the suite and do specialty dining it’s a little better. No thank you I rather pay more and go somewhere else.

    This is basically more of a paid advertisement by a pleb for the pleb than an independent review of the MSC. I didn't like the narrator's normalization of paid activities (e.g. "arcade, just like any arcade costs extra" - but why should it be paid when customers already paid to use the cruise?) and also saying "Casino is a smoking area OF COURSE" - again why "of course?". Most reputable businesses split casino into smoking and non-smoking. Why normalize it by saying "of course". Oh and please clean the lenses next time and add some balanced review points. The narrator was basically trying too hard to advertise the MSC hoping they will give her a free trip next time. Lame.

    • @nick0911
      @nick0911 Před měsícem +1

      You have a point with the arcade thing, but I think you're getting worked up over the "of course". In MSC ships (as you should know) casinos are the optimal indoor areas to smoke. And not only that, you say that arcades should be free because the cruise was payed. Well, can't we just apply this to everything else then? Excursions, bars, specialty restaurants and all that... that's not how it works, the fact that a cruise makes you visit different and far apart places and gives you free access to threater shows, activities, pools, food and much more is already quite a lot for the price you tend to pay.
      Besides that I disagree on the fact she was trying too hard to promote as she also left some of her personal comments, like she was talking about Les Dunes Restaurant and the lack of privacy. To me this didn't feel like advertisement at all, more of a detailed ship tour, informative and helpful for people who maybe haven't even cruised before.

    Did anyone stop to evaluate the environmental cost of this ship, and curising in general, perhaps you don't realy care?
    So for cruising thats 0.5kg of CO2 per mile, as opposed to 0.25kg per mile of CO2 for a long haul flight. So cruising is twice as damaging to our environment as the next most damaging means of travel.
    For a 7 day cruise holiday thats about 1750kg (1.75 metric tones) of CO2 per week.
    Just to put that into perspective we need to be limiting our individual CO2 output to about 800kg (0.8 metric tones) per year per person, to achieve a sustainable carbon nutral existance and limit global average temperature rise to 1.5-2C.
    The 800kg includes everything for a single person, food, gas and electric usage, travel to a from work, and leisure, everything.
    Again to show just how far away from that 800kg (0.8 metric tones) figure we are here's the current CO2 output figures for a single person in these countries:
    USA 15.0 metric tones per year.
    UK 5.5 metric tones per year.
    Sri Lanka 0.85 metric tones per year.
    Global Average 4.5 metric tones per year per person.
    In all honesty the best place for all these cruise ships is at the bottom of the nearest ocean.
    It's not governments, or the many COPxx's (gravy trains) that we have every year that will, or can stop runnaway human induced climate change. It's only us the people, humans, that have the ability to stop it, and that will require us the people, humans to actually make massive changes to the way we live our lives on earth.
    Time to extract the old heads from those buckets of sand and do something about it, instead of waiting for good old Mr and Mrs Somebody Else.
