@B Rich solutions, first off I love your name 😊 lol. I really enjoy your videos and have learned a ton about ebikes from you. This hobby needs good people like yourself sharing knowledge and unbiased information to help us navigate the ebike industry. We're bombarded with so much info and so many bikes it gets hard to get solid info. Thanks again sir.
Thanks for the feedback and will keep up not being bias
Very good bike It has a lot of options for modernization, as well as battery capacity and switching to a 60v engine
The stock motor and controller can handle 60V?
What smaller, super 73 like display screen do you reccomend for my Amyet g60, I don’t really like how big my screen is and I want there to be more room on the handlebar
You will need to replace the screen and controller in amyet g60
Hi rich! great upgrade btw ! on the yolin do you know how much speed will i gain if i get a 52v instead of my 48 v battery , i know you did try both ! thx
I would estimate you should gain 3 mph of top speed
Can I do this with. Happyrun g60 ? I ordered one for me and my son but we live in a hilly area so I need a lil more power and torque. Top speed is fine just getting there is hard, reduction in range I expected a lil
You would need to buy new screen and 30A controller like this: s.click.aliexpress.com/e/_ms57nuq
Hi mate gotta say love your reviews and thoughts on these ebikes... just wondering if you heard of the walfisk black warrior and if you would do a review on it as i don't see any except for the 15 minutes one that isn't really informative
Thanks in advance mate
Have a good one 👍
thanks for the kind words. The walfisk black warrior bike interesting, but it must weight 150 lbs or 68 kg with would be extremely difficult to pedal. My Sondors Madmods was 114 lbs (52 kg) and it was brute
I just bought it 2 days ago Man im love with this V30 the only issue i cant enjoy the throttle i had to take it of because police..., thanks for all your videos, a saw here in netherlands some V20s running 55km/h just pedaling how comes?
I will have 55 kph upgrade soon
@@BRichSolution thank you, i cant wait to see your video about it 👌🏾🙏🏾
I have try to contact them in order to get one 40 AMP controller but i didint recieve any answer 2 weeks since😔
Any idea if this is possible on the Movcan V30 as it's essentially the same bike?
Yes Movcan is the same bike
@@BRichSolution awesome, thank you. I just got it today. Curious if I can email Movcan about the controller or if there's an aftermarket alternative. Did you ever get the screen and max speed issue resolved?
Edit- Movcan responded to my email and said theoretically the 40 amp controller would work but for safety purposes they would not sell me that part.
Can this controller go on ouxi v8 new versikn because i was trying to upgrade it but i couldnt find one that was plug n play and higher amps
No this 40A controller connections will not work with Ouxi V8 however link to this 26A or 30A controller works with ouxi v8 s.click.aliexpress.com/e/_mPtf1bK
@@BRichSolutioni cant find the controller fitting with the same controller that i have. My controller is the same controller for the v30
If you can do the shunt mod on that controller and you should get higher top speed or just try to find a display that would work to adjust a higher top speed. Good video
Display limited top speed. Working on that solution for speed increase. Will post by Jan 20
Where is the post?😢
Rich did you ever get the settings from the company? So u can boost that speed a bit? Do you have an Amazon discount code for this? Thanks for all your great video's
New screen / controller arriving this week and will post video soon
@@BRichSolutionwhere is the new video?
Did you manage to find a controller upgrade for the Ouxi v8 yet?
Yes, the 26A or 30A SM controller in this link works but you you’ll need the screen too

@@BRichSolution thanks! For some reason the link won’t open where I am in the UK. Do you know the name or anything of the controller so I can search for it instead? Thanks
Would you happen to have a picture of that controller including the connectors.
I do
Hope you are doing well, Can you send that pic to me if you don't mind also what was the cost of the controller with shipping and handling.
Does it affect the battery life more than the 20 amp controller?
Range is reduced with higher amp controller
@@BRichSolution by how much
Do you know any controller that might improve performance on the Ridstar Q20?
No, its about as fast it can go with 48V battery. New controller will only give you 1-2 mph maybe, not worth IMO. Q20 does 31 mph, $5000 super 73 only does 32 mph
@@BRichSolution thanks for the info.
@@BRichSolutionhi, Rich!:) love your videoes! I would love to hear about how the accelleration changed! im allready happy with the speed on the Ridstar. But interested in more punche from the start! And as a side note, if the controller/display is not speed restricted, you cant get any faster iven if you put 6000w in it. its about motor kv(rpm)x voltage, not watts. voltage is speed, watt is torqe..(but you allso need torqe to get to max speed, and allso controller adjust voltage and amps so not allways 100% true) And allso your battery/batteries NEEDS to output more amps than controller is asking for! veary important! you can NOT put 35amp controller on a battery with max 25amp output without expecting damage .. BUT, if you got a 2 battery sollution, stock or mod. they probably could deliver more current combined
How many fewer miles can you drive now?
Yes the higher amp controller shorten range to 30 miles or 48km
Really want to know if controller affects top speed. Nice video! Please update if you can unlock the top speed.
Have to change the display to effect top speed as limits to 45 km/h or 28mph. I will post another video by Jan 15 with updated display
@@BRichSolutionwill the controller + display combo also work on the v20?
Update?
Can you do this on the v20
Tamobyke says no as too much power for the V20. I believe you can
How do you cut the speed limiter?
Not sure Tamobyke send me 2 controllers and screen and could not get past 28 mph restriction
Can the motor handle it?
Yes. Controller is from Tamobyke
how much the controller
My dual motor yolin needs 40amp controllers
Ya, range would be drastically reduced
@@BRichSolution I'm ok losing some range. I have 35amp controllers but need just a little more pep to climb hills. I have shinko tires and I carry 25lbs of gear with me. I'm honestly not sure if they are true 35amp's. I checked them and stickers say 35amp. I asked for them when I ordered the bike.. also 52v batteries. I have been looking for a complete dual motor upgrade with 2000w motor front and back with 40amp or better controllers but haven't found anything yet. Have your seen anything?
Hi @@saulGjr , what's the top speed of your yolin? with 35amp controller and 52V battery.
@@williamliu8440 my phone gps says 32mph.. the bike screen says 36mph. I'm 6ft tall and weigh 245lb though.
It's a great bike and I did all the upgrades Rich suggested in his videos for the yolin including front forks.
@@saulGjr I never trust the bike screen...lol
Can we see the the specs of the controller
The 40A controller had the same specs printed on the data plate as the stock controller; hence the sharpie marker I wrote 40A to delineate the two
You should have checked your batteries' amperage draw rate first. If your batteries are not capable of delivering 40 amp to the controller you won't see any results or if the controller force the batteries to deliver 40 amp it can burn the BMS or cause fire. Most 48v batteries can do only 30 amp.
Agreed… i need to measure amperage draw as I doubt its 40amp and if it is I’m sure it short lived as bms will regulate the current draw
The link doesnt go to the controller
It got to Tamobyke customer support witch will send you new controller if you contact them
@@BRichSolution they are not reacting on my email
Contacted Tamobyke to request a 40amp controller. They told me “It is not safe and we do not recommend it.” And refused to sell me one.
For the v20 its not safe but v30 its okay
How did you contact them
My v20 does 28 I did no hacks out the box and came with the lcd 3.0 .I have the same question you have .I emailed them from Amazon app they told me it was unsafe except my bike is already at unsafe speed lols.i live in Las Vegas I needed more torque for these hills
It can blow the battery and completely short circuit it especially if it's a v20 it's a risk but sometimes it won't do it but they prob don't wanna be liable
