I would NEVER visit Paris during the Olympics!!! Perceived crowds, increased PRICES, road closuresâŠâŠCOSTS. FORGET IT!!!
Agree. It is just not worth it for ordinary tourists. Unless you are willing to splurge huge additional expense to experience the olympic itself, it is just not worth it to pay extra to experience something that you can experience at lower cost on off seasons. And with the world in recessions, most tourists are actually looking for more value for each buck instead of paying more.
Greed killed Olympic demand. Crazy hotel prices, only the most expensive Olympic ticket prices, 10's of thousands of AirBnB bookings. Get ready for an empty Paris over the next 2 months.
Labour shortage? You have like 8% unemployment
I'm glad to see that people after all are intelligent and are doing the right thing .
I checked back in January out of curiosity. Hotel rooms were at 1100 per night and the opening ceremony was âŹ6000. That comes out to âŹ10,000 for spending three days in Paris to attend one Olympic event. Absurde
Everyoneâs heading to Japan due to its weak yen.
I have a funny feeling that these Paris Olympics wonât live up to the hype. Greedy people. Enjoy it while it last France.
The Paris I once worked and loved in has vanished. The superb architectural facade is still there but spoiled by too much arrogance and thievery from the staff of businesses serving visitors. Am saying nothing of "diversity"...
Oh well.
