istfg i come back to this song SO OFTEN because i love it so much.
this might be a bit weird and possibly unrelatible, but when i used to wrestle, the girls that were on the same team would play their music on the speaker in the mat room (where we would hold practice). and because I've got an odd taste in music, i was always too scared to play my music. but when jael put on this song (and MANY others i cherrish now too) and the rest of the girls started singing it all together, it made me a little sad that i didn't know the words. and yet they all wanted me to stand up and sing on that sweaty, gross navy blue mat. and sing at the top of our lungs we did, drowning out the world.
no matter what the situation might be, this song will ALWAYS bring me back to that moment, and many, many others i had when i was apart of something bigger than myself. i will forever be changed because of those people, and i couldn't thank them enough for helping me be stronger. thank you delia, summer, rylee, and jael. y'all were my home for a while
