P365 X-Macro, Or P365 AXG legion. is one really better than the other?

- The great thing about the EDC pistol market is that there is something for everyone. Take the P365 Macro for example, we have 2 variants of the same pistol. Both pistols are pretty much the same minus some badging and an aluminum grip module. Is one better than the other?
The AXG fits in my hand like a mold! It’s incredible for what it is.
I don’t understand why so many people don’t want to spend a little extra money on something you could potentially have forever, and it’s the single most important tool in personal protection. Think of all the money wasted on crap you don’t need. Stop spending money. Tighten the belt. Cut out all unnecessary spending and go get the piece you want!!
Just because you like something better doesn't make it better for everyone. Everyone's hand is different and some people don't want the extra weight.
You can have either forever
I just upgraded from the macro comp to the AXG. Huge difference for me.
How large are your hands? I haven't had a chance to check it out. I have smaller hands, so the p365 was incredibly comfortable for me. Curious how much wider the grip is on the axg.
I own all three variants of the X-MACRO. I also own four different Legion models and calibers. Normally I don’t believe the bs. But, I can honestly say, the Legion series including the AXG P-365 are top tier.
I thought the whole idea of the P365 was to be the smallest, most concealable 9mm. Why does it keep getting larger, while the P320 keeps getting smaller?
Not a steel frame gun guys.. aluminum, hence the AXG designator ( aluminum x grip)
its steel frame the grip panels are aluminum
@@KorEditing lol, wow..
@@KorEditingwrong it’s aluminum alloy
@@KorEditing NO
@@traitorhatergetarope3163 you are confused with the other AXG frames.
Pretty sure they have the same trigger. X-macro probably just more broken in 🤷♂️
Your exactly right, the axg never got the legion series trigger because sig knew lots of people would carry it, they didnt want people ND’ing and making sig look bad because of a lighter trigger😂
Great video as usual Brother! Thank you for your commitment to the community
The shoe reference was actually very helpful! It’s like comparing To Boot New York or Magnanni $400 dress shoes to Cole Haan $200 dress shoes.
Not a fair comparison, the legion is tricked out. Glad he said something, flashlights reduce muzzle flip and red dots obviously help. Also, this video should've been half the length, that's a lot of unnecessary bull crap.
2oz flashlight helps with muzzle rise and recoil. Lmao.
You say that like its negligible. It's almost 10 percent of the weight of the polymer model, even more with a battery seeing as how you've mentioned the weight of a battery-less light. Its also a variable you've not kept common between the two.
@@matthewwise3360 you honestly think a weapon light is making a difference in muzzle rise.
Yes, both from a weight standpoint (it's called inertia) and from the standpoint of being a spot to put your support thumb (like a gas pedal). They literally sell weights for this purpose, what's the debate here?@@rdrgear
Being a believer in physics and conservation of energy, I do. You are forcing the roughly 355 ft/lbs of most 9mm rounds to exert a rearwards, upwards, and rotational force on a gun that is now 10 percent heavier with that additional weight being far from the center of gravity. Why is this hard?
Had both, the Legion just fit my hand better so I sold off the other.
Another good video, thank you... When if ever do You think Sig will release the Sig P365 AXG Legion MacroTacOps? With your experience, could the Non-Compensated (3.7" barrel) with the AXG Frame shoot as flat? Thanks!!!!
That’s funny
The trigger on the macro probably has a much higher round count than the axg Sig just sent you. I’d switch the fcu and see how much that’s makes a difference. I’d also put the eps and tlr-7 sub back on to compare apples to apples.
I carry an X and my wife owns an original Macro, I really like the size of her Macro and was debating the various models, good vid comparing some of the differences.
You always know the answer of what gun the host thinks is better when one has a light and red dot and the other has nothing.
Not really. Crispy does not shoot
Red dots so when we do these comparisons. I try to set the guns up so they fit our strengths
Pretty sure you mean aluminum. Can you give us a measurement on the legion frame? I know its 1.3 at the magwell but can't find a measurement for the actual grip
I use the tactical trigger kit in all my 365’s and the reset is so much shorter
Awesome content man I just subbed after your last video on the Tisas 1911 carry and after consideration I’m going with the P365X macro. Much lighter with the same capacity. Keep up the good work brother!🇺🇸
"Buy 'em both." I like that philosophy. Lol.
For AIWB? EDC?
I just wanted to say I really liked the unfiltered father and son feel this video had. It felt like they could’ve both argued some good points from their personal point of view and Papa could’ve given him some stern real world advice and tech him how to put it into his training rotation. I think that could be a really good series on this channel. Keep if fun, keep it funny and keep it packed full of useful information for a new shorter like that kid 👍🏻
🇺🇸
The P365 series is what the P320 should have been. Sig basically took the slow-selling P250 and changed it to a striker-fired system. There’s a blurring of the lines with the P365 Macro and P320 compact. Other than width, they’re the same size.
I couldn't tell for sure, is the grip longer on the Legion?
The grip is not. It does have a mag well, that could make it look longer.
@@rdrgear Thank you.
after having the Axg legion...im looking to buy 365x for daily carry.
Are you finding the axg to be too over the top to carry?
@@alexwalker5645 just picked up the regular p365x with safety. im a small dude, the smaller p365x fits my EDC needs better. or else id just carry the legion. the lighter weight, the smaller size, and the safety made it more ideal for everyday carry. the Legion is a targeted carry if i know where im going.
@@jagen304 I hear ya. The regular X really is perfect.
What other guns could compete with the two Sigs?
Depends on preference. The 365XL the m&p 2.0 compact,
Glock 19, G48 All depends on preference and features
Held the 365 legion at my guns store today. To small and the slide release isn’t ambi.
Try switching slides to see if the triggers changes
Sig triggers don’t work like Glock triggers. Striker spring and striker friction have almost no impact on trigger weight. You wouldn’t be able to feel any difference.
The P365 X-Macro with the small backstrap fits my hand like a glove. I don't have large size hands. In fact, every 9MM pistol I've tried, it was never a perfect fit for my hand size. With the X-Macro, that's no longer an issue.
Train with the gun you carry, not the biggie size of the gun you carry. Muscle memory 👍
Muscles actually don’t have memory, just saying
Your semantics are wrong. Research muscle memory. It's called science. Just saying 😊
What holster do iou run for the legion? Not a ton of options out there right now
A x-macro holster I tuned to fit with a heat gun
@@rdrgear really? So that worked pretty well? Just heated it up with hair dryer? and put the gun in? This may solve all my problems haha
@@maxbeloat8488 I’m a little more skilled at this than the average guy. But it’s doable for sure. I have been bending kydex for over a decade.
@@rdrgear okay! I’ll see if if can look some info up on it

Does the legion come with the not comp barrel?
No
Yes it’s a comp barrel that is 3.1 inches
why didnt the AXG frame compete with Icarus???? no thumb rest?
I would not want the thumb rest
I got the sneaker reference
What’s the overlanding channel name??
Hey! Here’s the channel!
Great review guys. Christian is cool. I like him. U two are so different that u compliment each other very well. I have been trying to decide between the tacops and the legion. This video helps.
Interesting. I would imagine the legion shoots better but the macro is more comfortable to carry
For me the axg is more comfortable.
Have a X Macro. Just picked up a Staccato C2. Damn....the Xmacro is going to collect dust now. Shoots like a $4K+ gun. Just like my Sig P320 X Five Legion.
For twice the price i hope its better lol
Try 3 times 😂
I have a xmacro non comp 3.7 barrel with a green dot and light ,i get better groups then that on the average it tac drives the bullseye even double tapping at 7 to 10 yards.
@@davidwarring1572 good for
You. Dm me a video. Of you doing this.
For the $400 difference go with Icarus precision macro frame you won't be disappointed.
Agreed. Stock is the issue with those after market frames. I will eventually snag one. They are a nice cosmetic upgrade.
I feel like it's more than just a cosmetic upgrade... The "gas pedals" thumb rest and the overall ergonomics are a huge enhancement for mitigating recoil.
Go and grab the MCarbo trigger for the 365. Done deal. It is so much better. It's not even close. Worth every penny.
Dig you have Camera Guy on the review. 😊
@@greysitecontentyes crispy jumps on with me now and then.
Come on man. Compare them with a dot, and light on both.
Yea and Sig magwell. $50 part.
Not everyone puts a dot on a carry gun smh.
@@a.d.c7941 for a fair comparison.
The woolly hat guy seems a bit of a mummy's boy..
The Legion grips are aluminum not steel. The AXG Pros have steel grips.
My local gun shop in charlotte nc just got 4 of the legions in. Sold out immediately with me getn the 4th one. Got delayed 😢(5days) bought the cz shadow 2 compact several months ago. Don't like the da or safety so this will be the replacement. That gun the carry optic and a good holster and im I'm business
Great gun but the trigger sucks !!! Not as bad as Glocks but very close !! Crazy my cheapest gun has the best trigger CZP10C.
Agree, this is my first pistol. recently bought hellcat pro for conceal and I shoot way better with p10
🤘 😁 🤘
Aluminum frame, but we understood whatchyu mean
P365 AXG is not aluminum.
AXG stands for alloy x series grip.
Not aluminum. You can confirm this by looking it up directly on sigs website.
@@SnD340 aluminum alloy. Not steel
It’s the same material as the 320 AXG grip module. If you look at the product page you will see “aluminum alloy”
@@tylerfrogley1227 it’s like gold purity.
Lower karat gold will have metal mixed with it. Although it’s “gold” you cannot forget to address the fact it isn’t pure.
Same goes for the AXG
Metal, aluminum you all can look for your wins.
@@rdrgear hhahahahhaha amen
Should have waited for the p365 fuse
This was a really disappointing comparison in terms of how you conducted this.
At the very least, you should have shot both guns with lights attached. Was yours welded in place? Or were you just being "expedient?"
Also, Wilson Combat's polymer grip module for this gun has a palm swell and only costs about $70.
Expedient. I’m not a fan of any of the Wilson grips. Reviews are just opinions and starring points it’s up to you to find out what works. I personally don’t run weapon lights on EDC guns
1:55 MAWP MAWP
so i own the OG version and recently shot the legion at the range(i think it's featured briefly in a short i posted a couple days ago) but yeah you'd really really have to be a sig fanboy to make that purchase over something different for the price. especially for a gun that can't take a barrel longer than 3.1 inches. Cool video though
👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾💯🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
Bogus test/comparison-dot versus irons
Please stop calling the ALUMINUM x grip a steel frame😊
Is it ok to call ALUMINUM casing, steel casing, your Honor? 😂
Sigs website says the grip module is alloy which is not aluminum. Steel is considered an alloy.
👍🏻👍🏻🇺🇸🇺🇸💯💯🔫🔫☕️☕️
I own both and sig did a horrible job on the triggers!!
Nobody agrees with you majority of people love the trigger
I totally agree the trigger isn’t very good.
Found the trigger snob
It’s decent.. for damn sure not horrible..
And today on another episode of that never happened....
And that's why you don't wear those useless ear buds. Wear good ear pro.
But I wanna be cool bro
I watched this whole video again to see what your comment was referencing and I can’t piece it together.
I have electronic IN ear and over ear ear pro and I switch back and forth depending on what I’m feeling. What’s wrong with that?
@ChristianFarrington That 2nd or 3rd shot rang your bell. You flinched as soon as the old guy fired. Around the 1:55 mark.

PDP Pro Compact SD is far superior over both of these sig pistols. FACT!
Full inch larger with only 1 more round, basically twice the width, non carry magwell, and a threaded barrel that serves no purpose on a carry gun. How exactly is it "far superior"?
Great pistol. far superior is a comment made from someone who has not shot all three. When I see and read these statements. I highly doubt the person posting them even owns the gun they say is better than the pistol in the review.
Shocker! Comment coming from a car guy
they both suck. especially for the stupid price they're asking. carried a XL for the last 4 years or whatever its been. just picked up a czp10c used for like 250 and its got a aftermarket trigger in it and hitting bullseyes at 25 yards over and over where my sig just dances around it. i thought i liked he sig but naaa
You must not own , you sound stupid
