    I don’t know if anyone else has posted this, but a bit of duct tape to hold the door together while you are screwing the handle back on by yourself really works. Thanks so much for this cleaning tip, my oven looks so much better now!

      Thank you for posting this comment! I was panicking because I couldn't squeeze tightly enough while holding the handle on and trying to screw it back on at the same time. If I hadn't used tape I would have broken my oven door since it didn't have those little hinges, even though it's a Frigidaire.

      Using blue painters tape to hold the door together works great too. Peels back off easily and cleanly when you’re done cleaning.

    For anyone else who is flummoxed by trying to unscrew the screws like she's doing in the video, look at the bottom of the oven door after removing it. The screws on my Frigidaire oven, where she is unscrewing, required some kind of special tool. They were not Phillips head. There were four Phillips head screws under the bottom surface of the door (one required a drill to remove) but the door separated once they were removed. There was no having to remove or reattach the handle. SO SATISFYING TO CLEAN INSIDE THE DOOR!

    One quick trick I used to get the handle and door back together. I duck taped the door in three places to hold it together while I screwed the handle back on the just removed the tape when I finished!

      Try taking a tiny screwdriver like the ones for eyeglasses and put it in a screw hole on one side to keep it steady and aligned on that side while you put a screw in on the opposite side. then go to the side with the screwdriver in hole and screw that side now your align & ready to screw it all tight.

    I would recommend you take the door off , we thought we kept it straight but had to take off and straighten the tabs I think some of them were bent when stove was put together to be sold. But thanks for video , oven looks much better. You would think they could have made the door different. Awesome video:
    I had watched a technician video like two years back and he wanted one to pull the oven out and unplug and then remove the hinges from the door and then start peeling the layers back on the oven door and I was like "I'll pass on that" for two years, lol, I'm convinced he was a professional just trying to get people to destroy their ovens or take extra risk of breaking glass so he could get more work , lmao. Thanks for the much more simple and helpful way of going about this, our oven looks great now.👊😁👍

    You might try taking the door off before removing the front to make sure you don't bend the frame and that would make it easier to put it all back together later if it were on a flat surface. I haven't tried this yet removing the glass BUT I do remove the door when I need to clean the oven to make it easier.
    So simple! With the door open all the way. Flip the lock down above each hinge. Begin to close the door to the is about a 45 degree (give or take) gap. Gently lift up on the door and it comes off. Reverse the process to put it back on. I have a Frigidaire oven also. Not sure how this works on other oven brands.
    Thank you for the tutorial! The inside glass is finally clean with the oven and there are awful drop streaks inside the front glass that makes it difficult to see. I'll have to try your method!

    @mikeelev8333 Před 7 měsíci

    Great video! Quick tip. You'll need to remove the oven door, which is quite simple on this model. Takes about the same amount of time to remove a kitchen drawer. Once you have the door off, you'll remove the (4) screws at the bottom of the door and the (2) screws that hold the handle at the top. Remove the cover and clean the inner glass panels. If you don't do it this way, the tabs at the bottom of the metal exterior door cover will bend, causing the lower section of the cover that is supposed to meet against the glass to bulge out.

    Great video. I have been removing the door completely and taking it downstairs to clean the glass. Your video demonstrates a much easier and quicker method to clean in-between the glass. Thank you for posting your video.

      You are welcome! I have one of those videos out too, if you bend the front panel down too far the brackets at the bottom will bend out and leave a gap between the glass and the outside. I show how to fix that in the door removal and cleaning video. It doesn't always happen but when it does people tell me about it, so I decided to show how to fix it.

    Soooo much easier than taking the door completely off! I use a couple clamps to hold everything together when reattaching the handle. Those buggers are HARD to line up! (Anyone ever wonder why they couldn't design a little lip above the top of the oven door to prevent spills from entering the vents? Seems like a simple solution that would still allow heat to escape freely.)
