I tried to give an honest review with the rig and leads and an old reel I’m sorry to have the capability to empty any reel If I would have put a fast reel on it would empty as well Butt would give the idea it was a field rod Wich it is not.
@@ttrcaster best style review i have seen and really liked that you didnt use tournament reels as many of us are just fishermen rather than casters, i look forward to the next one !
Wish we were closer to Europe so we could meet you. We have followed you for years here in New Zealand and you are an inspiration to all of us casters. My wife and I have 3 Century rods between us ,, a WR300 and two tip tornados. They are exceptional rods and we enjoy running our casting tournaments here in NZ under the banner of the NZ Distance Casting Federation. Im working on a Alvey tournament sidecadt reel Just in honor of Jack Alvey I saw on CZcams Yes we are very far apart God thanks we have you tube Take care kiwi people 😄 Love you all
I've owned a pair of these just over a year they are superb rods I've used 200gm + bait no problem on big tides. On the field 220 yards with a mk1 6500 silver rocket tuned I would advise getting century coasters they stop the play you can get with small reels and the screw down reel seat lovely rods thanks to watching Danny for he was what tipped me centuries way get in!
Have a few Century rods myself... An Excalibur TT and a pair of Mk2 Tip Tornado Super Matches That fireblade looks to perform Fantastic for the length and cost... Thanks for the video Danny... Subscribed. :)
Thanks danny boy good to watch for all standards of casting . Newbies to so called pros you put ot over so easy no airs no graces fair play wish more would do same on you tube
Great video Danny thanks for your review. I’ve still got my 6HM so very interesting, might look at this rod. I’m still using an original Zziplex 2500M which is heavy. You’re very quick for a big guy too. Subscribed 👍
great video Danny. I'm looking forward to more! My casting can always use some improvements. If you like the blue and around 14ft you should get the Century Tip Tornado Sport Graphex!! My personal favourite!!
Excellent honest review, good to see your still going strong, and still able to empty a reel and you make it look so easy. Keep going strong fella, good luck and good health for the future. ??? Is there a multiplier that you cant empty :-) . ( beach reel )
I´ve watched this video a few times now, and have just brought one, cannot wait to try it out. Thanks for a great review. I should hopefully get it for the end of this month and will be gunning for Bass before the end of Bass season Zeeland(NL). One question, whats your favourite Beer?
What other century rods in their ranges would you say the fireblade feels similar to in it's casting feel and power?...that would be interesting to know, great video.
Awesome review Danny always honest in your reviews and exceptional good caster hope you doing well and staying safe dude tight lines might see you 1 day for a lesson on field once all this covid is over
Would love to see how far you could cast with no brakes and just your thumb Danny. Just interested to see if the best distance would be close to the braked setup you use.
@@ttrcaster Well I imagine you generate massive centrifugal force Danny. I'm surprised you never tried casting with no brakes and your thumb. Just feathering the line. Otherwise burned fingers! What bait do you have on in that video? Looks like a silicone bait?
Got 2 fireblaze nice rod can definitely choke a lead iv teamed my to up with akios 656 ctms first time out had a 9lbs 1oz throwback the rod can defo handle big fish see how the handle a double smooth hound next trip
Its a shame Century don't do a reducer for the Fireblade, Fishing reel down on a 13 foot rod shortens it a bit too much . I had to make my own reducers but would rather have just bought a pair.
Love it when he said “I dont like RED”..... LOL.... What century rod do you use for your tournament casting. Hope you can share your secret here......... TQ.
Danny, I think that Daiwa Millionaire 6HM originally had a level wind, guess you took yours off? I just picked a well used one up off fleabay and will pull off the level wind, too, ;)
Hi Danny, What is the yellow material you use to grip the spool, is it home made or is it something available to buy? I use finger stalls and i am always losing them!
Hi That’s the only thing I couldn’t test Me fishing at distance I never sea a bite If its a slackliner or a pull trough the clutch that’s positive Small bites from withing and dabs I don’t see because of stretch in the mainline
Hi. Im a tournament so my favourite is a TTR in all its forms. Together we did awesome for years. For fishing I use Century carbon metal express or anything else more suitable for the target species.
Are you gonna start as well On believable what kinda shit I’m getting Its 5 to 6 seconds in the air Off course its going to empty the spool The rod was what I found on its end with a 170 gram lead and two big baits Its a fishing rod for its own right People blaming me I didn’t go full out They have never seem me cast or what we cast
@@ttrcaster haha Your cast look good mate. Nice relaxed fishing cast to achieve a purpose 👍🏻 Leave your tournamemt cast for your tournament sticks. Great to see you doing some videos with a smile on your face. Keep safe old boy 😁
Great video Danny, Received mine a couple of weeks ago after a 3 month wait, fantastic rod feels great in the hand and bite detection good too, I don’t mind the red bits!

Great demo... I’ve used Century beach rods for 27+ years and have served me well... worth the money!
Brilliant video Danny. A very fair and honest test of a great looking rod.
Great video! Im surprised such a slim rod can take 170g and baits so well with a powerful cast/caster. Look forward to more videos.

Would love to see how far you could cast with no brakes and just your thumb Danny. Just interested to see if the best distance would be close to the braked setup you use.
It only had a tiny breakblock in
I never tried thumb casting

Would like to see what you get out of it with a fixed spool ? The rod comes set up for the average angler and the average angler tends to use a FS.
Ok ill try to get a video out with fixed spool, maybe Wednesday

Hi Danny, What is the yellow material you use to grip the spool, is it home made or is it something available to buy? I use finger stalls and i am always losing them!
Nice video, I'm very interested in purchasing one of these rods but my concern is the stiffness of the tip and bite detection..
Yes I understand. That’s personal choice
Thanks for reply Danny, how did u find the tip? No fishing stores on my island have them instock yet so I cant hold one myself..
Hi big d iknow you covered casting but what is the bite detection like on these rods love the review 👍
