  • Do you have an ostomy or j-pouch? Are you wondering if you may be more at risk for COVID-19? In this video, we partnered with the United Ostomy Associations of America and wound, ostomy, and continence nurse Erin Testerman-Mitra of New York-Presbyterian/Columbia Medical Center to discuss concerns of patients with ostomies and j-pouches as well as what patients need to know if they need to undergo surgery during the pandemic.
The Foundation would like to thank Janssen Biotech, Inc. and Takeda Pharmaceuticals U.S.A., Inc., sponsors of our COVID-19 materials, and 11 Health & Technologies, sponsor of this video chat. Additional support is provided through the Foundation’s annual giving program and individual donors.

If you are using CZcams in a desktop browser, you can click on the three-dot menu next to "save" under the video and you'll have an "Open Transcript" option there. The transcript is auto-generated by Google, but it's accurate and has a running timeline you can scroll through.
