Mangold recently shot down claims about Indiana Jones 5 having test screenings involving Phoebe Waller-Bridge replacing Harrison Ford that surfaced from CZcamsr Doom Cock.
Update: The trailer and official title have been released.
However, Doom Cock’s claims were backed up by The Daily Mail.
Now a 4Chan post offers more of the same, with Doom Cock offering the following ending is 100% right and that Kathleen Kennedy wants to ruin Indiana Jones just as she did with Star Wars.
It’s said a few different endings were screened for audiences all featuring Phoebe Waller-Bridge replacing Harrison Ford, with the following being the worst ending and that it is the ending Kathleen Kennedy wants to go with.
It’s also said Kennedy and the studio have been butting heads over the ending to Indiana Jones 5 as Kennedy wants the following ending but the studio is stating no to it.
What happens remains to be seen but a big problem could be that Bob Iger is back who always backs Kennedy, so just like Disney Star Wars and what is now happening with Kevin Feige’s Marvel, Indiana Jones 5 could be next to turn to dust as well.
Worth a mention is the recent Empire Magazine article and images back up the time travel claims.

People always bash Temple of Doom and Crystal Skull, but at least they had original plots that had nothing to do with the repetitive Nazi story line..
Temple of Doom was the last time Harrison Ford actually looked like an action hero.
Wow, if the rumors are true, it sounds like not even reshoots could save this film. Not only should Bob Iger not release it and take it as a tax write off, he should make sure that the studio burns all the negatives.
This film has had NO test screening or audiences. Actors HAVE seen up to 1/2 of assemebly footage and have been delighted. The film is locked and is in VFX and scoring -- Test screens are always shown complete (with perhaps clips that may be trimmed) but based on the calibre of the former films it needs no test screens. "Raiders ...." DID have a test screen and I still have my invite card. Which leads to .... WHERE are these "test screen" being held because I think I've counted over ten by now. NAME a theatre and it's location. .... "Pic or it didn't happen" ... I have been to two LFL Premieres, I can produce the invitation, parking instructions, dress code, and the lanyard which carried your seat and row number (this was done to triangulate anyone recording footage-- and they're great at it) Yes, cameras and phones are surrender before entering the theatre and returned afterwards, where you are free to take photos of the After Party. ANYONE claiming to have attended a test-- needs to submit proof, and every responsible 'journalist' should demand it or kill the story, a email from [name I would recognize], directions to chosen parking venue, and you WILL be issued a lanyard --it is your ticket of entry and a memento of your evening. No "I heard about it and went to the AMC at The Grove" It didn't happen. Again, there have been NO tests for this film, LFL has 'test' facilities on site should they wish to test an audience. None have been employed for "Indy 5"

Each time James Mangold has written the screenplay of a film he's directed, he has utterly nailed it, Heavy (1995), Cop Land (1997), Girl Interrupted (1999), Kate & Leopold, Walk the Line (2005) and Logan (2017). And his most recent Ford v Ferrari is an underappreciated gem. So I think a master of this level of craft deserves us reserving judgement until screening.
However, Indiana Jones 5 is Disney and Lucasfilm. James Mangold can only do so much in their house.
Sadly, NONE of his impressive repertoire means a damn thing if a higher-up (like Kathleen Kennedy) insists on a specific third act and ending.
It only took a feminiazi hack like KK to bring down an iconic successful franchise like Star Wars. No amount of raw talent and impressive resume will ever drag us out of the hole she left us in.

This is simply not true. Mads does not play a young Toht, he died in 36 by the Ark. He plays a man named Voller in 1944 in WWII. We know that from the "Empire" magazine. This deflates the entire "leaked ending". If this "Source" claims to have seen the movie, they would clearly see that it is not the case. So many people are stirring the "rumor pot" for this movie.
Also, the rumor with the guy going to the test screening, that was literally a screenshot from the d23 release trailer. If you want proof I literally have a copy of the same trailer. Also, they already announce that Indy will have a flashback, which is why he looks young. Time travel isn’t out of the question but Indy going back in time to meet his past self doesn’t make too much sense, especially since in the young Indy cronicles, he lives to be like 90. I just watched the trailer, and I think it's quite generic. It looks like pretty much every other trailer we've seen for the last 15 years. The formula they're using got old a long time ago. Now it's just downright obnoxious. I can't say I'm very impressed by what I saw. I mean, Harrison Ford is here, so it _looks_ like Indiana Jones, but it still doesn't really _feel_ like Indiana Jones. Once again, I see they couldn't resist the urge to ruin the colour palette by splashing orange and teal all over the place, and the title is incredibly low effort. I mean, did we really need to see Indy chasing a subway train on horseback? I rather think we didn't. It appears the producers failed to learn their lesson from the last movie. Indiana Jones and sci-fi don't mix.
I think fatigue has finally set in for a considerable portion of the audience. They are now coming to realise what I did so many years ago. Hollywood is creatively bankrupt and hates our guts. So why do they keep paying for the product? Just so they can complain about it and write a bad review? Well they're still supporting the industry by giving it money. Just stop giving them money, people! Just stop doing it! We could tank these woke corporations if people would just stop supporting them, either directly by not buying their shit, or indirectly by not talking about their shit. Just last week, Disney lost $100 million when their latest woke animated movie flopped like a flaccid cock. If we could get that to happen right across the board for years on end, we could damn near put them out of business.

Crystal Skull was NOT a bad movie. At least it attempted to do something original unlike, The Last Crusade, which recycled the Nazi plotline.
I don't think Hollywood is necessarily going bankrupt on ideas. The people like Kathleen Kennedy are only interested in hiring diversity quotas and pushing their feminiazi liberal agenda into everyone's faces. Sadly, the talented people of the world are being ignored at the expense of ideology.

I'm not going to watch it, love the legacy too much, there's 3 films as far as I'm concerned (Raiders. Temple, Last Crusade) , the other 2 just didn't work IMHO and if the latest is woke, I'm not going to put myself through that. How ate Disney not getting it that they are destroying themselves and the characters

The first half was mediocre nostalgia. The second half was crap. When the dude swung from vines with monkeys, that was super lame especially coming from a director like spielberg
yeah I genuinley don't buy these "leaks" One of the main giveaways for me is the Mads Mikkelsen stuff. He's not playing a younger Toht when he's literally 12 years older than Ronald Lacey was when he played Toht in Raiders. He's got a full set of hair (which he would not magically lose in like 2 years time.) Don't get me wrong, I hate the star wars sequels and dislike Kathleen Kennedy but I'm also not buying every rumour. LucasFilm is dumb, but not dumb enough to end the movie with Phoebe recreating iconic scenes, that would be the biggest nail in the coffin for them. I just get frustrated because I feel like people almost want to hate the movie so they just buy into every rumour which, which in many cases can be fake and are designed to make it sound as dumb as possible. And of course the photo the leaker has that they took from the film just happens to be from a shot from the D23 leaked trailer a few months back. And if I'm wrong and this does turn out to be true, I will fully admit it and write a whole damn apology letter, I just think people are too quick to jump to conclusions when there's no hard evidence at all. Daily mail making an article saying Phoebe COULD replace Harrison isn't a confirmation since they're not stating it as a fact. You could say Indy could reveal at the end of the movie that he thinks he's truly a woman and goes trans. That COULD happen, but it ain't likely. And them saying a source said "an ending was shot with this ending" there's no credibility to statements like that when we don't know who contacted them. It's not hard to make up fake stuff and have news companies who want clicks throw it in as a potential thing. Again, not attacking anybody on this, despite my dislike towards current LucasFilm, I just don't buy this at all. And if it turns out true, then yeah, it's fucking atrocius, but until it's actually out, I don't believe it. I also don't think the guy who gave us Walk the Line, Logan and Ford v Ferrari would want his name on something that would demolish a beloved character and franchise like this. Anyways, that is my little essay lol.
saw the trailer a few minutes ago. reminded me of the last one, stupid story, impressive effects with Ford very obviously not doing his own stunts (but he's 80, so not sure what i expected). this franchise is so tired.

The Dial of Destiny..... probably an extremely loose interpretation of the Antikythera mechanism as I saw Archimedes posters at a scene while they were filming in Sicily.... There is actually a good archeology adventure to tell coz I'm writing a novel about it; in the traditional Indy style (which I wanted to do since 2011; long before Mangold got that idea), but don't bother hoping Lucasfilm is gonna tell you such a story. The trailer revealed that most of the rumors are true. Indy is this sad old depressed blob of a human being coz KK is a misandrist men-hating feminist, KK's self insert Phoebe is gonna be the goddaughter of Indy (and probably gonna be 'stunning, brave and perfect from the get-go'). Time travel coz... idk...Marvel multidimension Thanos saga hype/rip off and no creativity in Hollywood I guess. Brody and young Raiders villain coz member berries... which is what you do when you lean fully on brand name as you have a shitty story to tell; a movie that has no confidence standing on it's own.... and the music sucks..... oh, and Mangold lied... no surprise there; as if he was gonna admit that the whole story/plot leaked; not to mention they disabled the dislikes manually coz he know it was gonna be a shitshow...
The director is clearly telling the truth about no tests screening. The movie come out in 7 months and it’s probably not even done filming, and even if it is there’s no way it’s completed and edited enough to have a test screening.

There’s been no pre-screens. The movie isn’t out until June 30th. They never pre-screen that early. It’s still in post production
