Great video, keep sharing. Anecdotal evidence is always the best thing when studies are limited. Fortunately Lysine has a ton of studies proving it is a crucial nutrient required for optimal health 👍
This is the most extensive detail I’ve heard so far about lysine. Thank you. Great job!!
Thanks so much *MR OBALAR* on CZcams for curing me from Herpes, keep saving lives.❤..
Thank You Laura.
Bless You Darlin. ✨️✨️✨️💕💖
Hi Laura, initially I was excited to hear from someone with MS who also suffers from the dreaded cold sores! (Lysine ice cubes and apple cider vinegar are my latest 'go to' on that one because none of the over the counter remedies do anything for me) ;-)
I'm 66 dx 1991ppms and on no DMT's)
I have now started taking Lysine 1000mg constantly after being enlightened by you about all the many benefits! Thank you SO much!😁
One immediate benefit to me was that my feet and ankles stopped being swollen and they have been swollen for a couple of years at least despite everything I had tried, and that happened after only a few days!!! I am definitely going to carry on taking it Laura and look forward to even more benefits - can't thank you enough. 😘Elaine x
PS My husband was so impressed, he has started taking Lysine too - and he's a tough nut to crack! 🤗
This all sounds very positive and wonderful! I hope the Lysine helps you both ❤️
Potatoes too!! Full of Lysine
Great breakdown! Thank you

Thank you, I am so grateful for the information that you shared ❤😊
Thank you for this comprehensive information on lysine. I’ve taken lysine for years to control cold sores. There have been times when I’ve forgotten to renew my lysine supply and have gotten a cold sore, but of lesser severity (size). During the C19 lockdowns I got shingles during a period where I was not taking lysine. My doctor prescribed the antiviral medication but it still took nearly two weeks to fully recover. I now buy a 250 gram packet of lysine powder and take 1/4 teaspoon every second day. I’ve have been considering whether to get the shingles vaccination but I’m wary about vaccines now, so I’ll just keep taking lysine.
Hi you're welcome, I know you can also get lysine intravenously, I told my sister about this as she gets cold sores in her nose as well as her lips (in was in her eye as a baby) she almost went blind. She can't take the big capsules so that's great to know there is a powder form, thank you.
As for the shingles vaccination, here in the UK you are only eligible once you hit 70. Personally I wouldn't have it, I'd just stick to the lysine as it's never let me down.
I treated my lichen sclerosis atrophica (LSA) during a really bad outbreak with l lysine ointment about 10 years ago. It was amazing how fast the fissures dried up and itching stopped. Now, every time i feel LSA symptoms come on I apply the l lysine ointment to stop the outbreak.
A very interesting topic Laura. I'll be looking into possibilities for using this myself in respect of the benefits to osteoporosis sufferers. X mum
Gosh, this is very interesting, I get repeated doses of shingles and will look into if I can take Lysine 😊
Hi, I've had shingles once and it was not a nice experience, so I really feel for you. Here's a bit more information which is specific to shingles.
Lysine is thought to have anti-viral activity, particularly the Shingles virus.
Vitamin B12 is thought to help with healing of blisters and the pain associated with Shingles. Studies of B12 injections for Shingles have shown to be beneficial.
Vitamin C is thought to have anti-viral activity and helps boost the immune response.
Zinc helps protect against infection and boosts the immunity. It is thought to have preventative and therapeutic actions.
St. John’s wort is thought to have an anti-viral action and also relieve nerve pain.
Good luck and I hope this helps 😊
I have had shingles when I was drafted in to the service in 1969 I was 20 years old I had horrible pain on my right side no rash for two weeks, the day I was leaving I broke out with a rash and was rejected from the draft 4F fast forward 54 years I’m dealing with numerous autoimmune diseases and just found L-lysine they claim it’s good for all autoimmune diseases didn’t take any yet looking for conformation on this information. (Help)
Hi James, Multiple Sclerosis is an autoimmune inflammatory disease, the lysine is supposed to be very helpful for the inflammation. I'm not sure there would be any harm in trying it, obviously you could check with your medical Advisor
L-lysine I give you my cat for their cat virus, cat herpes/cold. It's helps some for my cats but not a fixer, however less stress in one of my cats
Ty for your post, very informative!
You're welcome. Thanks for sharing the information on your cats too.
The benefits of lysine supplementation are more related to its antiviral properties and less about directly influencing MS. There is no significant evidence to suggest that lysine can affect MS directly. On the other hand, BPC-157, a peptide with potential regenerative effects, is known for its healing properties in various tissues, including muscle, tendon, and nervous system tissues. Its regenerative capabilities suggest it could help in repairing the myelin sheath or nerve cells damaged by MS, although direct research on BPC-157 specifically for MS is limited.
You've reminded me how important lysine is for the E. B theory etc. I've had ms 17 years and have taken lysine on and off. I take on an empty stomach wi vitamin c as its an amino acid and better absorbed this way. If I have a cold sore or a cold I take 2-3 per day. Possibly I should take more regularly for my ms.
Have you tried monolaurin lauricidin? A functional med doc recommended it for me back in 2018 when we found hashimotos and chronic levels of ebv. I didnt stay on top of all the supplements recommended over the years and now I happen to have optic neuritis.
@@Jess-kn8vl
I haven't tried that but it looks like its from coconut and sometimes combined with lysine. I've tried caprylic acid. I wonder if just buying MCT oil might be cheaper. I've been on LDN 4.5mg for 17 years maybe that's helping as well. Never qualified for dmts. Hope you get some help with optic neuritis.
@@juliegreen4440 Thank you, I hope you have some symptom relief from MCT if you try it!
❤❤
I was taking it during covid.
Thanks so much *MR OBALAR* on CZcams for curing me from Herpes, keep saving lives.❤..
Good video but it would be nice -and the correct thing to do, if references were included in the video description.
Thank you for the information.
I am new to your channel.
How about Biotin and Proline?
Your thoughts on Lysine via IV drip?
You're welcome. Yes biotin is a definite for me, don't know much about proline. I could imagine the Lysine via drip being a good way to receive it because of the higher absorption levels - but I don't know enough to comment really and I would suspect it would be expensive.
I take L Arginine and pycnogenol for nitric oxide. Will this lysine block their effects?
Does anyone know if it’s alright to take lysine if you have high cholesterol?
Yes, as it prevents and can remove arterial plaque from arteries of the heart. It more effective if you take it with ascorbic acid. Look up L pauling, he was a scientist.
we need l argentine really bad don’t we ?
Arginine isn't good news for cold sore sufferers because an amino acid found in many foods, may contribute to the spread of herpes.
This is due to its ability to promote viral growth, which speeds up the body's natural ability to reproduce certain viruses, including HSV-1 and HSV-2.
So might be good for some but not others!
I took Lysine 0.5g/d for several years to prevent herpes recurrences. Unfortunately, due to Arginine deficiency, I developed arrhythmia and increased blood pressure. Now I supplement Arginine 2g/d and my cardiovascular problems have disappeared. So it's good to be careful with this one
Here's a little bit of information about Lysine and the amazing benefits it has, especially for those people living with MS or any other chronic illness.
