Sweet Cherry Granita

Ingredients
3 cups sweet cherries pitted
1 cup sugar
1/4 cup lime juice
1/8 cup lemon juice
1 1/2 cups water
Purée cherries in blender. In sauce pan combine water and sugar on medium flame until sugar is dissolved and add to the cherries. Add the lemon and lime juices to cherries and mix in blender well. Pour mix into one or two metal pans and freeze until solid. Scrape with a fork and add the shavings into a freezer container and put into the freezer until set.
