Crazy to see all those spinners at the beginning in their peak. Sad that most of them these days are in shit conditions, even if they are considered fully working, the motors are slow and worn out and the lights are never super bright anymore. Not to mention the snowflake wires being corroded and yellowed. Even if someone was to fix all of those things, the spinner they do it to will never be the same again and looses its charm. The spinners is truly a very unique series, and a very large one at that. Sad that all these kids who (in no offence in ANY way) never seen these 10+ years ago, want them soooo badly, therefore upping the prices on ebay to ridiculous amounts. As somewhat a collector myself (somewhat because ive kind of moved on really) i collected these because it reminds me of a time, where we all have large ray tube televisions, VHS tapes, corded house phones and flip phones. Nostalgia of the early 2000's holidays can me defined (for me anyways) as these old Christmas props. They shouldn't be viewed as valuable in the sense that some models are rare, but valuable in the sense that they mean something, they are a piece of all our histories, and truly, a staple of Christmas.
57:10 that’s actually insane. The box picture is a later prototype too lol. Anyway, my prototype snowwoman has recently been traded off so hopefully there will be a fully working video of it soon enough.
@@Dier-Decor Cool! Glad to know that one is in good hands still. I wonder if any of us is crazy enough to go dumpster diving for the snow business prototype..
I think 54:44 is actually a normal blue snowflake vest but the owners cut the threads on the vest (or the threads came undone over time) because I can't see any buttons
I really hope someone saved that egg/bean spinning bunny prototype, (and I’m not talking about the newer one.* and yeah, that exists. I saw the image on a gemmy archive discord server before it was (I think) deleted.
It came from a stock photo compilation. Part 2 of this series is going to focus more on the later spinners and message fan items. (Not doing a part for modern spinners) Maybe it was Snowy that had it, or Holiday Time Productions.
