- Rocker Bamboo Manalac went against his fellow coaches when he picked acoustic singer Paolo Onesa over the father-and-son duo of Mark and Willy Cordovales as the Battle Round of "The Voice of the Philippines" continued on Sunday.

Halatang mahirap i-coach yung mag-ama kasi matitigas ang ulo. Sinabi na wag "penelengen" eh. Hindi nakinig. Those small petty things nagiging factor din yun. Si Paolo coachable at ganda ng voice quality. Bonus na yung gwapo sya. Meaning, may future sya.
Yes, di lang bsta singer o performer pinipili nya, he's into the quality of the voice..People may never understand his choices pero he definitely knows what he likes and what he is doing.. He's really into it and doing his job well even if half of the world disagree

Hanggang ngayon di pa din ako maka get over HAHA. Pero Paolo has such a rich tone to his voice, di lang nailabas sa performance na toh due to the fact that he was battling with a father and son duo. But it’s cleat that the father brings the soul into the duo, the son moves so arrogantly on the stage at nasisira ang presence dahil sa pagiging over nya, in my opinion. If the son had just turned it down a notch, they would’ve won it easily. Sometimes less is more🥴.

I totally agree. Mahirap na icoach yung mag ama kc sila na nga mismo gumagawa ng sarili nilang areglo. Jologs yung style nila.

It's true, paolo's voice is a like gem. He might be shy but that could only be temporary, maybe since paolo competes with two people who already knew each other. I felt like paolo was OP, but I like it when he sings. He has a unique voice compared to the other too. I like his voice more.
Once you humble yourself and follow instructions you will surely become successful.

Less is more. Less movement but with pure tone and feelings. That is Paolo. The Cordovales did well but distructing; overdoing it already. Bamboo knows them already and he knows if who's overdoing it and who has the heart ♥.

Yung kanta kasi na pinili eh pang harana kaya kailangan talaga na may kilig factor kaya si Paolo yung nanalo. Yung mag-ama magaling sila technically pero sa performance and delivery nung kanta, si Paolo talaga ung winner, hands down. Lalo dun sa "nating dalawa" part niya. Kilig tlga!

Bamboo always have interesting choices. For him it's never who wins the battle, it's how he can do more as a coach. Siyempre kailangan may role pa xa and he's really more on the potential.
A duet is really hard to train. Kailangan sync talaga ung voice, mahirap talaga manalo ang duet.

At honestly disturbing masyado yung penelengen pronounciation nung anak, pangit pakinggan, paolo's perf is hindi ganun kaganda pero alam ni bamboo na may kaya pa itong ibigay, agree ako sa choice bamboo dito!

Nagtaka ako sa decision ni bamboo ,inulit ko ulit apat na beses doon mo makita ,magaling c paolo nasa puso ang pagkanta ,,yung anak mayabang
sobrang feeler. di naman ganun kagaling boses nya. kung di nya ka-partner tatay nya, nung sa blind audition pa lang wala na siya. nakiki-hitch lang siya sa galing ng tatay nya. para sakin, tama ang decision ni Bamboo. tama naman talaga na ang choice niya ay someone na may potential of whom he can be of more help.

Kahit talent search ito, hindi maatim ni coah Bamboo na paakyat pa lang yung talent nya lumaki na ang ulo. hahaha... Kahit ako ang naging coach, si Paolo pa rin pipiliin ko kasi kaya kong hasain boses ni Paolo pero yung attitude problem ng kumakantang anak it will take centuries para mabago. Masyadong hambog!

YEAH MAGALING NGA YUNG MAG AMA. BUT SOMETIMES KASI HINDI LANG SA VOICE ANG BASEHAN. THEY HAVE THE VOICE BUT THEY DON'T HAVE THAT STAR QUALITY LOOK. PARANG SABIT LANG YUNG TATAY IF YOU LOOK AT THEM TOGETHER. NAWAWALA YUNG SPOT NIYA KASI OVER CONFIDENT YUNG ISA.

Bamboo made the right decision...subtle at hindi agaw pansin ang performance ni Paolo,he projected quiet confidence...medyo turn-off si Cordovales junior...actually, ang tamang timpla ng performance ay si Cordovales Senior, di tulad ng anak na OA ang projection at medyo semplang ang pitching dahil over ang voice at performance, kaya tinutulak ang lalamunan...a missed chance for the father-son team, sayang...but I really admire the quiet confidence of Paolo Onesa...Bamboo's right in predicting a bright future for him in 'The Voice'!
Well! its true paolo (shy type) needs to be confident by himself, believe that he can do more. Paolo has a big potential. Looking forward for the next round paolo!

lol -_- tama si bamboo.. like ko sila lahat... pareho magaling!..yung mag ama, napaka lively ng pgkanta nila..damang dama mo yung happiness, yung pagmamahal nila sa isat isa taz yung pagkasatisfied.. kea lang yung song na "panalangin" yung type ng pagkanta nun dapat yung may pag crave o pagkasabik na puno ng unconditional love and passion, na katulad ng pagkanta ni Paolo.. kaya no doubts..

But don't get me wrong, mas nagandahan ako sa performance nung mag-ama. I was rooting for the duo kasi taga-Antipolo rin ako.

In fairness to Bamboo, he doesn't care about the actual performance, he's aftering the raw talent of his artists in his team. Bamboo really knows what the concept of art is in an artist.

Compared when I negatively reacted to him choosing Lee Grane over Dan, I kinda understand why he chose Paulo now. Maganda boses ni Paulo, it's just he needs more training but like Bamboo, I foresee him doing bigger things once he realizes his potential... so i am okay with bamboo's choice now.
