I normally don’t like these maker/repurpose videos, and while I have no intention of building a little tackle box, I must say that’s absolutely ingenious. Using pvc pipe as a raw material? Absolute brilliance. I can definitely incorporate this into some of the projects I make.
It actually just dawned on me, I have a broken bracket that supports the glove box in my wife’s car. Can’t find a replacement anywhere, not even at the dealer. I bet I can make it though. I’m going to give it a shot.

I'm in the United States and I am a part time electrician. In this country, because tradesmen are paid a high wage, no one bothers to salvage any material. I have made a good living going to construction sites where offices are being remodeled. the workers tear out walls and throw away everything in the giant trash bins. I always look into these bins and many times I will find much tubing, electrical boxes, wiring, good wood. When the drug addicts found out they could make money selling scrap copper, they would even go into vacant buildings and tear out all the wires possible. they would also remove the concrete covers at the base of street lights and pull out wires from entire districts. If you are looking for a skill to make a good living, I would recommend learning simple electrical repairs. I also repair and sell used washing machines and dryers that people throw away.

About making a living, if I ever manage to leave my country I don't plan on being too choosy about work, as long as I can do it, it's legal and my knowledge and experiences are useful. As an example wouldn't mind going back to being a forklift operator as long as the workplace is decent (in more than one way). Every honest job, done in a proper environment where respect is a rule, is a good job.

Great achievement, congratulations. Unfortunately, PVC obtained from pipes does not remain perfectly flat; over time, it tends to return to its rounded shape (especially if exposed to heat).
If the material is heated correctly and pressed between surfaces that do not act as a heatsink (like metalic surfaces) The bonds between the chains are so weak that they can be broken when the plastic is heated. _The chains can then move to form a different shape. The weak bonds reform when it is cooled and the thermoplastic material keeps its new shape_ We see the same process when a blacksmith heats a spring coil to make a new part. Simply a lot more heat and pressure to rearrange the bonds.

The CA glue will actually hold those watch clips onto the plastic and not pull off after a couple of uses??? And it would seem that he's using more than one 4" long piece of 4" PVC pipe. The idea is COOOOL!!! But it really does have to hold up to use to be worth while.

One unique tip I can give you. Use baking soda. Or packing powder to fill in the gaps. Then put glue on it. Rock solid and no gaps. And you can sand it as well.
Probably ends up being literally cheaper to just buy one. The suggestion is that you can get that whole box out of that one little piece of pipe, for starters.

A good idea, I pick up chucked out stuff that when taken apart leaves you with plastic panels, screws, thin metal bars & rods, sheet metal, motors etc. Also plastic piping of various diameters, we can make most of what we need/want from old appliances and devices.

I had the problem of pvc holding it’s shape, after cooling down it wouldn’t hold it’s shape. But, dip in cold water or wash cloth, shape is frozen.

keep in mind super glue cracks when frozen, it's probably best to use epoxy if the box will be stored in cold weather conditions.

One minor improvement: make the top drawer a little bit wider, so it will aline with the lower board plus the extra sheet
..or just make the bottom drawer shorter and instead of using an extra sheet make the back border of the second drawer higher.

Now this is real DIY, making with minimal tools (only mini grinder) while the rest tool are easy and everyone already have one.

Tip for removing marker ink. Use a whitboard pen, it last enogh for working time and can be very easy to remove.
